WhenAll Elite Wrestlingwas first formed, one of the first projects announced by the company was a video game adaptation. Professional wrestling companies have had a long history of success in the video game space, and so it makes sense thatAEWhas invested so much in getting a game of its own. While fans are still waiting for a deep dive on what the AEW video game has to offer, its title has reportedly been revealed.

The latest episode of AEW Dynamite took place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and while the segment didn’t air on TV, fan footage of the event shows president and CEO Tony Khan revealing the title of the AEW video game. Unless there’s been a misunderstanding of some kind, it’s looking like theAEW video gamewill officially be calledAEW: Fight Forever, a reference to a popular chant that the crowd does during high-quality wrestling matches that they don’t want to see end.

The reason whyTony Khanseemingly revealed the AEW video game title is because the Pittsburgh crowd was asked to help record audio for the game. The crowd was reportedly asked to perform various chants to be recorded and used in the game, whenever it’s released.

As it stands, the AEW video game still does not have an official release date. However, reputable wrestling journalist Sean Ross Sapp has reported that theAEW video game release windowcould be as early as September of this year. If accurate, then fans should expect to see more of the long-awaited AEW video game sooner rather than later.

Very little has been shown of the AEW video game so far. It was first revealed with a brief trailer that showcased the art style and featured the likes of Chris Jericho, Hikaru Shida, and Kenny Omega. Later on, new footage of the AEW video game showcased some in-ring action between rising starsDarby Allin and Jungle Boy. Otherwise, the AEW video game has been quiet.

Whenever the AEW video game gets its proper reveal, it will be interesting to see how it stacks up to the competition. By Kenny Omega’s own admission, theAEW game can’t compete with WWE’s production values, but it could very well provide a kind of gameplay experience that wrestling fans haven’t had for quite some time. With theWWF No Mercydirector involved with the game, there’s a lot in favor ofAEW: Fight Foreverto be a breakout hit, but fans will have to wait and see how it turns out.
