The Twitch partner became one of the most controversial personalities out there for many reasons, withAlinity’s reputation of supposed animal crueltybeing a particular point of contention. Some believe she should have been banned long ago.

But as the dust just settles onAlinity’s wardrobe malfunction issue, a new problem has arisen. Someone has unsurfaced an old video in which Alinity makes odd claims on relationship fidelity. She stated that if a guy is interested in another woman while in a relationship, he is cheating. However, a girl is able to think about other men while in a relationship and it is just fine, in fact, it is the guy’s fault.
For a guy that is in a relationship to be interested in other girls, that’s just cheating. But if a girl who’s in a relationship becomes interested in another guy, it often means that she’s not getting what she needs to get from the relationship.
Alinity has since responded to the clip, claiming that it was from two years ago and her opinions have definitely changed. She argues that she had gone through some of her own insecurities with being cheated on, so her thought process with off. In this circumstance, she was rather quick to apologize, just likeAlinity wanted a larger temporary ban from Twitterafter her recent controversy.
Many Twitch users have been unhappy about how the streaming platform has handled Alinity’s controversies. WhenAlinity and Twitch become the butt of jokes from Ninjaand others, perhaps it is a sign that things have gotten out of hand. Small Twitch streamers seem to get the banhammer when they make a mistake, while the big-name streamers get lesser disciplines.
In the case of the 2018 comment by the streamer, it is perfectly reasonable to allow someone to explain themselves and find out if they still even believe in the comment they made. It’s easy to express a feeling incorrectly, change opinions over time, or simply say something a bit out of wack during countless hours of streaming. Still, when someone like Alinity has found herself in controversy over and over, manywonder if slap on the wrist style suspensions from Twitter are enough.
