Street Fighter 6is finally here, granting players access to 18 unique characters to pummel each other’s faces in. While six of these characters are completely new, the remaining twelve are veterans from pastStreet Fightertitles – as a result, these fighters have a large pool of alternate costumes for Capcom to choose from forStreet Fighter 6.

Every fighter already hasone alternate costumeinSF6, with most of the veterans’ outfits simply being their designs fromStreet Fighter 2such as Chun Li’s original blue qipao. However, there are several other cherished past costumes that fans would love to see make a return inStreet Fighter 6.
8Luke – Battle Outfit
The new protagonist ofStreet Fighter 6may be a responsible and hard-working gym owner now, but it hasn’t been long since he was just a preppy young fighter itching to scrap with anyone.
Nothing makes that more apparent than hisStreet Fighter 5Battle Outfit, which decks him out in a bright basketball jersey, baggy shorts, and – unlike his regular barefoot MMA-fighting look – heavy sneakers. His entirely exposed sleeves especially accentuate how massive his biceps and triceps are, showing off his well-trained arms as if ready to hop off the court and straight into the ring.

7Cammy – Killer Bee
During her time as a Doll serving under Shadaloo in theAlphaseries, Cammyforwent her standard army-green thong leotard, replacing it with a blue leotard and matching garrison cap, adorned with a yellow tie, her classic red gauntlets and blue lightning-bolt ‘tattoos’.

This outfit would go on to be known as her Killer Bee costume due to its ties to her tenure as an assassin for Shadaloo, before she overcame her brainwashing and joined MI6. Reappearing in bothStreet Fighter 4andStreet Fighter 5, the Killer Bee is a staple of Cammy’s wardrobe.
6Juri – True Boss
Coming toStreet Fighter 5as one of two fan-designed costumes for Juri, alongside her Spider costume, her True Boss outfit was designed by artist JnXC and eventually made its way into the game as a DLC outfit.
Depicting a combination ofthe pillars of Shadaloo– M. Bison’s military cap, Sagat’s eyepatch, and Seth’s cloak – Juri’s True Boss costume became a fan favorite almost immediately with its unique silhouette and Bison-esque color scheme. While Juri certainly isn’t struggling for fantastic alternate costume options, True Boss is one of the best.

5Chun-Li – Battle Outfit
Initially included as a pre-order bonus forStreet Fighter 5before being added to the in-game store later on, Chun Li’s Battle Outfit is a much more sheer outfit compared to her qipao. It is a sleeveless evening gown decorated with a classy black and gold color scheme, all literally tied together with a neat red sash.
It’s also one of the few instances of Chun-Li ditching her classic bun hairdo and letting her hair fall loose behind her, which is a gorgeous look that players don’t see often.

4Akuma – Cyber Akuma
The fearsome demon Akuma is terrifying and powerful enough without any enhancements. That said, the partly mechanized (thanks to Marvel villain Apocalypse) version that appeared inMarvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighterhas become a classic incarnation thanks to its ridiculous premise and sleek design.

Outfitted with a cybernetic eyepiece, hidden steel wings, and one arm replaced entirely with metal, Cyber Akuma has reappeared as a costume for Akuma inMarvel vs Capcom 3andStreet Fighter 5. Consequently, it only makes sense for him to be Akuma’s alternate appearancewhen he arrivesinStreet Fighter 6.
3Ryu – School Uniform
Seemingly inspired by fellow Capcom fighting gameRival Schools, thisStreet Fighter 5costume swaps out Ryu’s classic white karate gi for the classic banchō look worn by juvenile delinquents in Japanese high schools. The look features a stylish black blazer reaching all the way down to his feet, emblazoned with a sophisticated blue and gold storm cloud print across its inside.
The jacket flows beautifully behind Ryu during gameplay; however, what really makes this costume is the character’s choice to hold a small sprouting twig in his mouth as if it were a toothpick. Even while acting like a delinquent, Ryu is still in touch with nature.

2Chun-Li – Alpha
A costume so popular that it evenmade its way intoFortnite, Chun-Li’s outfit from theAlphaseries is her most recurring outfit, for good reason. Its stark difference from her classic qipao in its embroidered vest and unitard completely changes her silhouette. Conversely, it still maintains her definitive blue and gold color scheme with similar curved highlights across her chest to her classic costume.

This more comfortable, sportswear-like outfit returned in bothStreet Fighter 4andStreet Fighter 5, showing it deserves its enduring popularity and a return inStreet Fighter 6.
1Juri – School Uniform
Debuting inStreet Fighter 5, this alternate costume for thewicked femme fataleJuritakes her regular intimidating bodysuit and replaces it with a heavily modified school uniform.
Decked out with a black jacket emblazoned with her spider symbol and covered in goth patches, ripped tights, and an array of spiked chains, bracelets, and chokers, this is the most goth Juri has ever looked. Her split-dyed hair even changes its hue to match each different color slot, similar to her alternate colors having the same effect inStreet Fighter 6.

Street Fighter 6is out now on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
