Wraith is one of the trickiercharactersinApex Legendsto use effectively, but in a variety of ways, a good Wraith can go a long way in helping secure the win for your team. Wraith is one of those characters who’s abilities each has a variety of uses, making her an incredibly versatilecharacterwith a really high ceiling, but a really low floor due to the nature of those abilities.

A bad Wraith can do a lot of damage to a team, so let’s take a look at 10 tips for getting most out of Wraith, along with some really fun team compositions to include her in:
10AN EASIER ROUTE
The flashiest and most immediately noticeable ability Wraith has is her Rift, or Portal. This Portal can allow characters to travel from one end of the Portal to the other in a couple of seconds. The tricky thing about this Portal is that first part:anycharacters can use it, including enemies. Most Wraiths are going to solely use this Portal to get their teammates from one end of a dangerous area to another, unscathed. This can be pretty useful and can save your squad from having to traverse across those dangerous open areas that snipers thrive in, and since Wraith can use her Into The Void ability (more on that later) while she’s placing her Portals, she can travel across the area largely unthreatened.
9PORTAL TO HELL
Another fun use of the Portal is using it as bait for an enemy. Less intelligent enemies are prone to leaping without looking, and if you place your Portal in a tricky location, like near a ledge or overtop of some lava, enemies are going to be in for a tough surprise. With some time, you can also place a portal in a location that is soon to be swallowed by the Ring, baiting enemies into transporting themselves into serious trouble. Sure, they can just jump back through the Portal (provided it hasn’t disappeared yet), but you’ve still put them in a pretty bad situation.
8EASY FLANKS
If you can manage to place both Portals without being seen, this can set up a really effective flank for your entire team. One second you’re in front of the enemies and they’re setting up their attack, and the next your entire team is firing at them from a direction that they’re vulnerable from. This can be challenging to accomplish effectively, but when you can, it can make for a really easy fight.
7NO ENTRY
Perhaps the funniest use for the Portal is placing it at two doorways into a room. Some buildings are limited on entrances to begin with, so if there happen to only be two ways into the room and they’re both covered by a Portal, they literally cannot enter the room until the Portals disappear.

This can give you and/or your team a healthy amount of time to recover and prep for the coming fight; just be aware that enemies can still throw grenades into the room.
6THE DECOY
Wraith’s Into The Void ability prevents her from taking any sort of damage for a short time and allows her to move pretty quickly while it’s active. This allows her to be a little bit riskier when it comes to her plan of attack, and in some situations, she can act as a decoy while the rest of your team heads for a flanking position. Wraith can easily walk into the crosshairs of the enemies then go Into The Void, all while her teammates are about to punish the enemies for looking the wrong way.
5THE BAIT
In closer range, Wraith can also use her Into The Void ability to bait the enemy team into walking around a corner that theydon’twant to walk around. Most people are going to chase a Wraith that goes Into The Void if they’re already close, allowing Wraith to lead them directly into the waiting crosshairs of her team, or a trap, or a combination thereof. This is a pretty easy bait to pull off, but you’ll be surprised at how often it bears fruit.
4YOU’RE BEING WATCHED
Wraith gets a warning anytime an enemy looks at her, or when there’s a trap nearby. This can go a long way in giving your team a split second to get some cover before a sniper opens fire, or can keep them from taking that extra step that leads into a Caustic Gas Canister. This is one of those pretty quiet abilities that can fly a bit under the radar, but it can make a huge difference throughout the match.
3CAUSTIC, WATTSON, WRAITH
There are a few creative team compositions you can throw Wraith into, one of which involves bringing both a Caustic and a Wattson along for the ride. Wraith can place her Portals, while Wattson sets her electric fence through one end of the Portal and Caustic tosses a Gas Canister onto it for good measure.

Enemies that jump through that Portal are going to be in for a truly nasty surprise when they appear on the other end, softening them up quite a bit to allow for the final blow.
2OCTANE, PATHFINDER, WRAITH
A super-aggressive, movement-oriented lineup brings both Octane and Pathfinder with Wraith. All three of these Legends have movement abilities, whether it be Wraith’s Portal, Octane Stim/Jump Pand, and Pathfinder’s Grapple Line/Zipline Gun. With this lineup, you’ll be on the enemy team before they have time to think, and you can be across the fight and on their flank without giving them any time to prepare.
1REVENANT, PATHFINDER, WRAITH
Another fun team lineup switches out Octane for the newest Legend,Revenant. This revolves around Revenant placing his Death Totem in a safe location, with either Pathfinder able to place his Zipline Gun in a place to get respawned teammates back into the fight quickly, or Wraith able to create a Portal capable of doing the same thing.
