Next month, Respawn Entertainment will release a new season ofApex Legendscalled Hunted. It has yet to show off too much for the new season, but thenew Legend Vantagetakes center stage in a new trailer for the season.

It dives into her character motivation for joining the Apex Games, which has something to do with the seemingly-wrongful imprisonment of her mother. She joins a squad with Fuse and Horizon in this trailer, but despite being young and called a pup by Fuse, she manages to lead them to victory. It’s overall pretty low-key compared to other trailers, with a lot of small, interesting moments. There’s even a bit of humor when Vantage comes up against her predecessor to theApex Games, Newcastle. Following her victory in apparently her first match, she uses this chance to televise her mother’s wrongful imprisonment, to which her mother applauds her and calls Vantage her wild one.

The official description of thisApex Legendstrailer states that “Vantage’s mother may have raised her to survive the wilds of Págos, but she never crossed paths with a Legend. With her squadmates' help, she’ll need to discover the will to survive.”

Of course, eagle-eyed fans may have noticed a few other details. The trailer seemingly hints at some of Vantage’s abilities, as well as shows off her adorable companion Echo. While there are plenty of ‘pets’ in the Apex Games, including Bloodhound’s Artur, Ash’s rat, and potentially evenWattson’s Nessie doll, Echo may take the crown for cutest. Furthermore, it appears that Vantage and her squad are on Kings Canyon, potentially teasing some changes to the map as well.

Reception to the trailer seems to be going well, although there are quite a fewMorbius-style memesin the comments. One comment reads “Loved the part when Seer said ‘it’s seein’ time!’ And then saw everyone on the map. Truly one of the moments of all time.” Of course, just like the Morbin' time meme, this doesn’t actually happen, but it’s still pretty funny.

Either way, it’s an action-packed trailer and holds a lot of promise for Vantage andApex Legends: Hunted. No doubt, fans will want to learn more about the upcoming season, and it stands to reason that Respawn Entertainment will reveal more heading into the launch. Fans will just need to wait and see what’s coming in the new season.
