It’s unclear what the development team is planning for theAssassin’s Creed Valhallastory. The developers have confirmed that the game’ssettlement featurewill be very important and that major parts of the story will begin and end here. It’s possible that this is an important part of the “unique story structure” that McDevitt is teasing.

It’s also possible that the game’s writers have found a new way to use historical monuments. Creative Director Ashraf Ismail has confirmed thatStonehenge will be featured inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, though Ismail did so in a way that suggests that players won’t just be climbing it for a passing visit. Stonehenge, which was used as a burial ground, could tie into the game’s story much more than fans expect, as could other monuments in the game.

Ubisoft is planning to share more about the game this week. It will be showingAssassin’s Creed Valhallagameplayat the Xbox Series X gameplay reveal. Fans are expecting to see more information about protagonist Eivor, see more Viking battles, and look at how they can affect the settlement.

There may also be new information about the game’s story at the event. Many fans would like to know Alfred, who seems to be one of the game’s bigger enemies, NPCs that Eivor is friends with, and what other famous figures players may get to talk to in the game. This could also come with a confirmation about the game’s story style as fans get to see something new for the series.
