Attack on Titanhas extraordinary Titans, like the Reiner’s Armored Titan. There’s no question that this Titan is powerful, with hardened plates covering its body like armor. It’s nearly impossible to stop this Titan in its tracks. Then there is the powerful Beast Titan that can transform and control other Titans with one scream. These Titans have some ability that sets them apart from the others, except for the Attack Titan.
Being the most current possessor ofthe Attack Titan, Erenlearns of not only his strength but those who had the power before him. Except, it can be hard staying optimistic when every other Titan shifter that Eren battles have immense power and abilities that he could only dream of. How does the Attack Titan stand out compared to the other eight Titan shifters? It doesn’t, not until Eren is given the power, and that’s because Eren is using the Attack Titan ability in ways his predecessors hadn’t.

Before Eren
Currently, fans are aware of two other holders of theAttack Titan, Eren Kruger, and Grisha Jeager. It’s unknown how often these two me used the Attack Titan power, but from Grisha’s memories, fans know that Eren Kruger used it once before transferring the ability to Grisha. By transforming into the Attack Titan, Kruger could destroy the boat from Marley. It’s assumed all were killed, trapping nay remaining Marleyan soldiers on the island. The memory implies that Eren Kruger was aware of the Attack Titan’s strength, but it is unknown how often he used it.
Grisha Jeager, on the other hand, has used the Attack Titan ability at least two times. Once whenhe was heading towards the walls, this being the best form for Grisha to take considering the hoards of Pure Titans in the area. The second time Grisha used the Attack Titan power was to devour Frieda Reiss for the Founding Titan.

Fans only get to see Grisha’s Attack Titan when Eren remembers Grisha attacking the Reiss family, but considering Grisha had to make it the entire way to the wall from the south, it can be assumedhe was just as powerfulas Kruger. A couple of times throughout the show, it is mentioned that the Cart Titan can stay in Titan form longer than any other Titan. Perhaps Grisha, running at full speed, could master the technique of holding his Titan form longer than previous users. Even with this hypothesis, neither of these men have utilized the Attack Titan ability like Eren Jeager.
More Than Just a Titan Power
Something that is commonly known about the Attack Titan is that its primary mission is to fight for freedom no matter the cost. The goal sounds eerily similar to Eren’s dream as a child. To escape the confines of the walls to have the freedom to explore the world. It almost seems like the Attack Titan was made for Eren Jeager. Well, from previous uses of the Attack Titan, Eren tends to enter a state of attack when fighting an enemy. This is seen when he first transforms into the Attack Titan when he fights Annie and the first time he fights Reiner and Berthold. This attack mode or trance sends Eren into a frenzy that can’t be stopped, like when fighting Annie.
During basic training, Annie was able to knock Eren off his feet, and during their battle in the forest, Annie was able toget the best of Eren, but something changed during the fight in the Stohess District. After shaking himself of the reality that one of his comrades had betrayed him, Eren went on the attack. Something that frightened Annie so much she tried to run away, for a good reason. If it weren’t for the hardening, Eren would have devoured Annie, but why?
Besides the fact that Eren’s personality perfectly matches with the mission of the Attack Titan, he might have finally uncovered the real power of the Attack Titan. Going back to when Eren Kruger was preparing Grisha for the Attack Titan,he mentions Mikasaand Armen’s names. How could Eren Kruger know the names of Mikasa and Armen before they were even born? After asking who these people are, Kruger explains that they aren’t his memories. Maybe the Attack Titans' power is seeing future users' memories; this would explain why Kruger knew Mikasa and Armen’s names. If this is the case, then the reason why Eren Jeager can tap into this frenzied state and hold his own against the other Titan shifters is that the Attack Titan was designed for him.
It’s not impossible to believe that Eren’s conviction spread throughout time, touching the memories ofall the other Attack Titan holders. Meaning the Attack Titan’s goal isn’t the Attack against Titan’s but Eren’s dream of being free from the walls. This could mean that the final part of season four is yet to be revealed, but it can be assumed that all of Erens plans will ride on his ability to control the Attack Titan. He’ll also need to be able to use the Founding Titan, but Grisha stole that power, so that has nothing to do with Erens Attack Titan, right?
