Microsoft recently confirmed that it will be hosting ajoint E3 2021 press conference with Bethesdaon Sunday, June 13 at 10am PT. It will likely be one of the most hotly-anticipated E3 events this year, as many are looking forward to seeing more of Bethesda’sStarfieldproject as well as other games that are currently in development for the Xbox Series X. Fans are expecting to see games from Microsoft’s various acquired studios, and one studio that may have an especially big presence at the event isObsidian Entertainment.

Jez Corden of Windows Central recently wrote a report about what they expect to see from Xbox’s E3 2021 press conference. Corden has apparently heard “conflicting information” about what Obsidian games will be at E3. Apparently, there’s a 50/50 chance thatObsidian’sElder Scrolls-inspiredAvowedgamewill be at the show, which would be a big deal since fans likely still have years to wait until they get to playThe Elder Scrolls 6.

Corden has also been told that Obsidian could be announcingThe Outer Worlds 2at E3. WhereasAvowedtakes inspiration fromThe Elder Scrolls,The Outer Worldstook inspiration from Bethesda’sFalloutgames. Likened to beingFalloutin space,The Outer Worldsearned strong reviewsat the time of its release, so it would make sense for Microsoft to fast-track a sequel and capitalize on the first game’s popularity.

WhileAvowedand apotentialOuter Worldssequelmay be the heavy-hitters from Obsidian, there’s also a chance thatGroundedcould be featured at E3 2021 as well.Groundedhas been quite the departure for Obsidian, as it’s aHoney, I Shrunk the Kidsstyle survival game as opposed to an RPG, but it certainly has its fans.Groundedhas only been available in early access so far, so perhaps E3 2021 will give fans an idea of when they can expect the full release or at least what they can look forward to in upcoming updates.

If Corden’s information is correct, it seems as thoughObsidian Entertainmentis going to have a significant presence at E3 2021. However, it will be far from the only studio showcasing games at the event. The Xbox/Bethesda E3 2021 showcase is expected to be a whopping 90 minutes long, and so fans can look forward to a wide variety of game reveals from Microsoft’s various studios.

One game that’s virtually guaranteed to make an appearance is theupcomingHalo Infinite. Originally meant to be an Xbox Series X launch title,Halo Infiniteis now due for release later this year, though there’s still a lot about the game remains a mystery. Fans will have to tune in to the Xbox E3 showcase on June 13 at 10am PT to find out Infiniteand to see if these Obsidian rumors hold any weight.
