The “P” Class of cars features many of the fastest in the game. Largely based on the Le Mans Prototype (LMP) category in real life, the P class features many designs from over the years including classic one-off entries, to dominators in the modern hybrid era. Car performance is measured across four key areas: Speed, Acceleration, Handling, and Braking, with an overall car Performance Index (PI) being indicated by a three-digit figure next to the car’s classification.

101989 Aston Martin #18 Aston Martin AMR 1
Performance Index: 962
The Aston Martin AMR 1 was an LMP car built as a successor to the DBR1-2. While the car did not achieve much success in high-level competitive racing, it featured a number of unique concepts such as a range of air ducts through its high-profile bodywork.
The AMR 1 can certainly be competitive within the P class, even more so when upgraded and tunedto suit each individual circuit. The Jaguar XJR-9 was very impressive when it first debuted in the 1988 24 Hours of Daytona, a race which it would go on to win. This success was later replicated in the World Sports Prototype Championship, where the car was able to take six victories and hand the title to driver-turned-commentator, Martin Brundle.

Peugeot pulled out all the stops when designing their Talbot Sport 905 Evo 1C, drawing on members of the French aviation industry, as well as formerdrivers and engineersfrom a range of racing teams for inspiration.
The Talbot sport has many great attributes which make it one of the best in the class, including10.0 Handlingand10.0 Braking. The car also has8.8 Accelerationand6.8 Speed, making it particularly suited to tracks with lots of corners. Overall, the Peugeot Talbot Sport 905 Evo 1C has aPI of 973.

61991 Nissan #23 Nissan R91CP
Performance Index: 976
Nissan’s experimental R91CP variation of the R90C was certainly a success when it competed in the World Endurance Championship in 1991. The car helped the team to clinch the Driver’s and Constructor’s titles that year, winning 5 of the 7 races on the calendar.
The car is particularly impressive going through corners, and it is here that it holds an advantage over many of its rivals with10.0 Handlingand9.9 Braking. Elsewhere,7.2 Accelerationand6.8 Speedmake it a very good car in general. Overall, the Nissan R91CP has aPI of 976.

52015 Nissan #23 GT-R LM Nismo

Nissan’s GT-R LM Nismo was a unique Le Mans Prototype that sought to utilize a front mid-engine layout as opposed to the conventional rear mid-engine layout used by almost all other designs. Despite having three cars entered into the race, none were able to achieve a classifiable finish, and the GT-R LM Nismo was not seen on the track again.

42014 Audi #2 Audi Team Joest R18 e-Tron Quattro

The Audio R18 Quattro was 2x winner of both the WEC Driver’s andConstructor’s Championshipsin 2012 and 2013, with an impressive 18 wins from 47 race entries. Notable wins include the 24 Hours of Le Mans on several occasions, as well as the 6 Hours of Spa and Silverstone.
The R18 has some of the best performance statistics in the game, with10.0 Handling,10.0 Braking, and10.0 Acceleration, the only flaw being5.3 Speed, which still ranks it very highly within the P Class. Overall the R18 has aPI of 979.

31992 Toyota All American Racers Toyota Eagle MkIII

The Toyota Eagle MkIII is largely considered one of the most successful designs in the IMSA GTP era of racing. Notching up 21 wins out of the 27 races it entered, including 18 pole positions, this car is equally impressive both in qualifying and during races.
The car has two maxed-out stats of10.0 Handlingand10.0 Braking, allowing forlate lunges into braking zones. Meanwhile, the8.3 Accelerationalso ensures the Eagle is quick off the line. Race pace can suffer slightly on tracks with longer straights since the Eagle has a mediocre5.6 Speedrating. Overall, the Eagle MkIII has aPI of 981.

The Toyota TS040 Hybrid was a very successful competitor in the FIA World Endurance Championship for both the 2014 and 2015 seasons, managing to accumulate 5 race wins and 14 podiums in 16 races. This helped the team to both a Driver’s and Constructor’s Championship victory in 2014.
The Toyota possesses an incredible10.0 Handling,10.0 Acceleration, and9.9 Braking, with the only real downside being6.4 Speed, which is still relatively good for the class. The TS040 Hybrid will cost 380,000 credits and has an overallPI of 981.

The Ginetta G60-LT-P1 sits at the top of the pile for P-class race cars, offering some exceptional statistics albeit at a costly price of 380,000 credits. Having raced in both the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the FIA World Endurance Championships, the car has played host to drivers such as Alex Brundle, Luca Ghiotto, and 2003 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Guy Smith.
The Ginetta is capable of some incredibly fast lap times and ranks among the fastest overall cars in the game with7.1 Speedand8.1 Acceleration. Its real asset, however, is its cornering ability, with10.0 Handlingand10.0 Brakingallowing for somevery late dive-bombs. Overall, the car has aPI of 981.
