Sasuke Uchiha is one of the most beloved charactersin the entireNarutofranchise. Starting off as one of the teammates of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke is a character that fans have come to love over the years. Along with Naruto, he is the other protagonist of the story and a large portion of it actually revolves around him. According to the author of the story, the two are like Yin and Yang. When one progresses, so must the other, and the fans have certainly seen this over the course of the series.

However, recent events have seen to it that he too has been nerfed just like Naruto himself. While Naruto was trapped in a different dimension by Kawaki,the fate of Sasuke remains up in the air. Yet, there are enough indications that he is in danger of some sort.
The Downfall Of Shinobi
Perhaps the biggest indication that Sasuke is in some kind of danger is the fact that the age of Shinobi is, apparently, over. In the prologue of Boruto, Boruto Uzumaki exclaims that the age of Shinobi is finally over. This event is from the future and during this short prologue, fans get to see the entirety of Konoha being utterly destroyed. Not one shinobi is inside other than Boruto Uzumaki. Just like Boruto, Kawaki goes on to claim that the age of shinobi is finally over. He also reveals to Boruto that he’s going to send him to the same place as the 7th Hokage.
Had Sasuke been okay, Konoha would certainly not have been in such a sorry state. What’s more, both Boruto and Kawaki would not have been able to claim that the age of shinobi is over.Sasuke is one of the strongest Shinobi alive, if not the strongest, and the fact that this claim exists in itself is proof that something has happened to him. However, fans do not know exactly what has happened to the master of the Sharingan over the timeskip of the story.
Boruto And Sasuke
Something that could explain Sasuke’s fate ishis relationship with Boruto Uzumaki. As seen very early in the story, Sasuke takes Boruto under him as his apprentice. The two train together and according to Sasuke, Boruto possesses tremendous potential and can one day even surpass Naruto. Sasuke has also lent him his own headband. Fans of Naruto are very well aware of what this headband means to him. The fact that he was willing to give this to him on several occasions means that he truly believes in Boruto Uzumaki. Surprisingly, in the prologue of Boruto, fans see Boruto Uzumaki wearing Sasuke’s very own cloak, and, at the same time, carrying his own weapon as well, which is, the sword of the Kusanagi.
RELATED:Boruto: What Is the Tenseigan?This could have been entrusted by Sasuke to Boruto and, if that is the case, it is further indication that the Uchiha might well be in grave danger or, perhaps, even dead. Sasuke has entrusted Boruto with his headband and could very well have done the same with his other belongings. Or, perhaps, Sasuke ended up falling in battle and Boruto took it upon himself to claim what was left of his masterand take down Kawaki.
Sasuke’s Fate
Sasuke’s fate inBorutois not clear by any means at the moment. However, what fans do know is that he would certainly put his life on the line to defend the village and to protect the peace that Naruto fought so hard to create. Unlike Naruto, Sasuke is not soft at heart and will kill anyone and everyone standing in his path, be that Boruto or even Kawaki. As such, the fact that Sasuke is not around when Konoha is destroyed and, at the same time, Boruto is seen with his weapons and his clothes, is an indication that Sasuke is incapacitated in some shape or form, at the very least. If that truly is the case, then Sasuke could very well have been sent to a different dimension by Kawaki, just like he did with Naruto. The reason why he did not mention Sasuke could be because there is no substantial relationship between him and the Uchiha, just as he did not mention Hinata, despite also sending her to a different dimension, as seen in the previousBorutochapter.
Another big possibility is that Sasuke is busy fighting someone else. If someone like Code, or any other Otsutsuki threat requires his attention, Sasuke will certainly see to it and leave Kawaki to Boruto. The only problem is that Boruto himself is seen wearing Sasuke’s clothes and carrying his sword. However, this can easily be worked around when considering the possibility of Boruto training with Sasuke for the time skip. If this were to happen, Sasuke could easily give Boruto clothes similar to his and equip him with a similar weapon as well. The fate of Sasuke might be hanging in balance, however, he certainly is not going to die. Kishimoto and all the others working on theBorutoseries know better than to kill one of the most popular characters off, especially knowing how important he is to the fans.
