The video was posted to Twitter this afternoon with an update on the multiplayer, confirming the killstreak by showing clear footage of the RC-XD in action. Fans get a clear view of the tire before the clip shifts into a jump by the explosive remote-controlled device. The video loops after that, showing the same clip several times before ending. Fans are already hard at work investigating the background of the clip insearch of more hiddenCold Warinformation.

Many fans still remember the RC-XD debut back in 2010 withCall of Duty: Black Ops’launch. Many fans hoped that the car would be making a return inBlack Ops Cold War,as the game serves as a direct sequel to the initial release. AlthoughBlack Ops Cold Waris set in the early 1980sand using that era’s technology, fans are hoping that several other popular killstreaks will make it into the game alongside the beloved car.

In the original game, the RC-XD was rewarded to players after three or four kills. Players would switch to a second camera where they then could drive around a small RC car loaded with C4. The car moved super fast across maps and even came with a boost for an extra burst of speed. Using the remote detonator, the RC-XD became a perfect weapon for busting camping positions and bypassing secure points. The entire strategy is similar to theModern Warfaredrone trickthat many multiplayer andWarzonefans use.

This is not the first reveal for the RC-XD, as schematics were discoveredinside variousWarzonelocations. Fans also noticed a clip where the infamous device was used in the main trailer as it sped down a runway and blew open an escaping plane. Fans hope that more details on the RC-XD and other killstreaks will be revealed during the multiplayer debut on September 9th.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris set to release on November 13th on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
