the Hold Gulag design

The update brings along new experiences forWarzoneand the classic multiplayer as well as adding in beloved weapons, equipment, and a few new characters to enjoy. Either way, there are some additions that will change the game, or even tell players what the future ofWarzonelooks like.

6New Gulag

For most battle royales, dying isn’t great. It typically spells the end of the game for the player and their teammates. This is one of the main reasons whyWarzoneis so popular: the introduction of the Gulag.

Luckily, the Classified Arms update has brought anew Gulag mapfor people to explore and destroy the enemy. It’s called Hold and resembles the belly of a ship from the inside. This ship-like map is relatively symmetrical and has some useful hallways for the sharpshooters as well as a nice open space throughout most of the map for either melee combat or just some great weapon skills.

Warzone new additions

5Warzone Changes

A new Gulag is not the onlyinteresting addition toWarzone. It seems like the creators of the popular battle royale have decided to tease the implication ofsome even more popular monsters. Otherwise known as Operation Monarch.

This invites players to watch out for some interesting paintings dotted around the caves in Caldera. There are also some sizeable skulls and mysterious monster remnants hidden within supply boxes and the Ruins dotted around the map. All this brings a considerable amount of excitement for what is to come withinWarzone.

4Weapons

One of the main aspects of this update is the weapons. It seems to be the primary focus for season three, making every battle a little bit more unique. There’s an addition of three fantastic guns and one nostalgic melee weapon that any fan ofCall of Dutywill adore.

One of the best things about these four additions is the notion that there is one of almost every type of gun. Unfortunately, nothing has been seen yet about the addition of a new sniper or shotgun but rifles and SMGs have been gifted a new experience.

Trophy System

Such additions include:

It’s worth noting that the Sledgehammer and the H4 Blixen are available later on in the season or via an SMG-based challenge for the H4 or a melee-based challenge that isreportedly coming soon.

3Equipment

The reintroduction of the Sledgehammer is not the only nostalgic addition to the Classified Arms update. A new Field Upgrade has been given the chance to grace the battlefield with its presence once more. This time the Trophy System gets to annoy enemies all over again.

It’sa great addition toVanguard, especially with the notion that it’s free to have, rather than requiring the battle pass or a trip to the store. The nature of its cost is irrelevant, however, when taking into consideration the usefulness of this wonderful Field Upgrade. It stops pretty much all projectiles thrown in its vicinity, keeping players and their allies alive longer.

The three new Characters

2Characters

If there’s been new guns and new equipment announced then it would only be fair to allow a few new people to join the fray so players can try out an entirely new loadout. Luckily, Sledgehammer Games have done just that, introducing an impressive three new characters to explore.

They areMateo Hernandez, Florence Carter, and Kim Tae Young. One look at these characters and many players will have a favorite. It’s expected to see a lot of new looks on the battlefield who are likely rocking awesome new loadouts.

1New Maps

What separatesCall of Dutyfrom other first-person shooter games isits variety of maps. Players can play a large scale slower-paced game one minute and then be in a close combat chaotic map the next. It keeps teams on their toes and allows players to try out different styles of gaming. This is something the new update is primarily focusing on, particularly the smaller maps since there are a few larger ones already in the game.

The two new maps are called,MayhemandSphere.

Mayhem is styled off a vintage movie set and is a three-lane close combat map that’s guaranteed to bring the type of chaos Shipment brings. There are also elements of the map players can destroy, only furthering that need for chaos.

As for Sphere, this is less movie and more science lab. It’s set in a rustic science lab filled with electricity, fire, and many bullet holes at the end of the game. Nevertheless, while it will come in later on in the season, this looks like a fast-paced experience with multiple layers, open spaces, and close combat elements throughout.
