Call of Duty: Modern Warfarerecently added two fan favoriteCall of Duty 4maps to the game in the form ofShipment and Vacant. Instead of giving each map its own 24/7 playlist, however, Infinity Ward has decided to group them together in a playlist called Season One Moshpit. While this may not sound like a bad idea on paper, Shipment and Vacant are two vastly different maps, so fans have just been backing out of lobbies when being forced to play the one they’re not interested in.
For the most part, it seemsCall of Duty: Modern Warfareplayers are backing out of lobbies when they have to play Vacant. Shipment is a much smaller map, resulting in immediate action, whereas Vacant is a more traditionalCall of Dutymultiplayer map. The two maps cater to very different tastes, and so it doesn’t make sense to a lot of players that they’ve been grouped together in the same playlist.

On the flip side, someCall of Duty: Modern Warfarefans may want to avoid Shipment, but still want to play Vacant online. Due toCall of Duty: Modern Warfare’s spawn system, Shipment has become notorious for players dying immediately as they spawn into the match, with some of the matches ending up far too chaotic for some tastes.
One way that Infinity Ward could potentially fix this problem would be through implementing a map voting system. In the past, Infinity Ward has indicated that map voting isn’t inCall of Duty: Modern Warfarebecause players just back out when the game selects a map they don’t want to play on, but that appears to be happening regardless. SinceModern Warfarefans are already backing out of lobbies to avoid playing on certain maps, it seems like Infinity Ward really doesn’t have a reason not to include map voting.
ACall of Duty: Modern Warfarefan on Reddit has come up with a different way to potentially fix this problem. They suggested creatingChaos and Callback playliststhat would separate regular remade maps and the more chaotic, smaller-scale maps. For example, Shoot House and Shipment would be put in the Chaos 24/7 playlist, whereas Crash and Vacant would be found in the Callback playlist.
It’s unclear howInfinity Wardplans on addressing the problem, if at all, but there does seem to be multiple ways to fix the issue.
