Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s sixth season is going full steam ahead, with fans playing around with new weapons and exploring the subway system added toWarzone.For the first time in a while, the new weapons have immediately been adopted by top players. TheSP-R 208 is seeing a fair bit of usage, and its versatility and power are leading to a lot of impressive videos making the rounds online.
Modern WarfareandWarzonehave built an incredibly large player base, with many players active online in forums sharing their highlights and most exciting moments. Sometimes a clip showcases a player’s excellent marksmanship, and other times it’s a frantic mess that leads todropping 6 kills in 10 seconds inWarzone.Any time a player drops into Verdansk, or a Ground War multiplayer map, it could be the match that produces a highlight reel moment.

This happened toModern Warfareplayer ‘Simpan6655’ who posted a perfectly executed double headshot with the SP-R 208. While a little luck might have played a part in the shot, it is still quite a sight to see. Simpan lines up one target, and just as they pull the trigger, another hapless player rolls into the line of fire on an ATV. The timing is exquisite. The shot is clean, and in no way sketchy, unlike theAS VAL shooting through buildingsbug, which needs to be addressed, as that gun is broken.
Simpan6655 is certainly set up for success should they choose to pick upCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, as that game featured someoverpowered sniper rifles in the Alpha build. While Treyarch developer Tony Flame said that the overpowered snipers were an intentional choice specifically for the alpha to test live balance, sniper rifles could still be an important part of the meta in the upcomingCODtitle.
Sniper battles inModern WarfareandWarzonecan be nerve-wracking affairs. Seeing the glint from an enemy’s sniper rifle optic can send players running for cover. Engaging with another sniper can also have hilarious results, as two players found out bysimultaneously taking the other out inWarzone.
Watching the astounding amount ofModern WarfareandWarzonevideos never gets old, the ways in which players pull off incredible feats on the battlefield provides endless entertainment.
