One of the best feelings inCall of Duty: Modern Warfareis unlocking kill streaks and raining bullets, fire, and more down on the enemy team. This is been a classicCall of Dutytrait through several games and in each new game fan favorite kill streaks get buffed, nerfed, or dissapear entirely. InModern Warfare, fans are calling for a buff for the Support Helo, believing that it is way too weak to survive the current gun meta.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfarehas some powerful killstreaks built into the game. White phosphorus, VTOL, and many others can be a massive push in points for a friendly team or extremely oppressive to the enemy objectives. When used properly a well-placed killstreak can helpsecure a victory at the last minute, which is part of why balancing them can be fairly difficult.

In this case, players are worried about the strength of the Support Helo. The Support Helo is a helicopter armed with twin turrets and patrols the map gunning down players that it can see. In previous titles, the presence of theSupport Helo was extremely oppressive.InModern Warfare, players would often mix it with white phosphorus drops and other kill streaks creating a chaotic war environment.
The issue is that the Support Helo has a hard time staying around for more than a few seconds. Where it originally took a launcher to shoot down, now players with a strong assault rifle can get the same job done in seconds. As a killstreak, the Support Helo has low survivability and fans have witnessed issues with its AI-controlled targeting. The killstreak eitherguns down players with a divine fury, or glides around the map shooting aimlessly into the distance.
Fans have a problem with the ineffective nature of the Support Helo. It takes 11 kills to unlock it within the game and once launched players are lucky if it can score even two kills. This could be credited to player reaction times as some fans are extremely fast and well equipped to deal with airborne threats, but many feel the Support Helo should be able to compensate for the added danger.
Although a buff is unlikely, fans have noticed small tweaks with other killstreaks.White phosphorus lasts less timethan at launch, and players have noticed damage reductions in several other explosive choices. These changes give hope that the developers might make changes to the Support Helo if enough fans bring it to their attention. Fans are looking for more survivability rather than an adjustment to the damage itself.
