TheCall of Duty: Vanguardmultiplayer beta will be kicking off this weekend, allowing players to get another taste of the upcomingCall of Dutytitle. In the meantime, even more leaks and new details are being spread about the game, including the apparent inclusion of a feature many fans appear to have wanted inCall of Duty: Vanguardfor a while.

The feature in question is a Field Of View slider, a mechanic that allows players to adjust their in-game height–either higher to see more or lower for more accuracy. SomeCall of Duty: Warzoneplayers have argued that a console FOV sliderwould make the gaming experience much better, especially since that game already has an FOV slider on PC. Now, it appears thatCall of Duty: Vanguardwill also feature an FOV slider, though only in multiplayer mode.

All leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, but the official Twitter account of Adam Iscove, Senior Development Director at Sledgehammer games, seems like a pretty reliable source. Iscove recently shared what appears to be a screenshot ofCall of Duty: Vanguard’s graphics settings menu, with the FOV slider option highlighted. This may imply that the option will be implemented in the upcomingCall of Duty: Vanguardbeta.

Soon after Iscove tweeted out the screenshot, Sledgehammer Games' official Twitter account replied to his post, demanding that he delete it. Shortly after, the officialCall of DutyTwitter account also replied, telling him not to delete it, as did the officialModern WarfareTwitter account, which posted a photoshopped image of a crow with “LMAO” underneath. A lot of new information about the game has come to light recently, including the list ofCall of Duty: Vanguardkillstreaks, but this news appears to be especially interesting to fans and the franchise’s social media team alike.

As of this writing, the news seems to have been received warmly by fans, many of whom immediately began celebrating in the comments section. One user even went so far as to say that this news has saved the game, though others are holding out for an FOV slider inCall of Duty: Vanguard’s Zombies modeas well as multiplayer. Several users are simply disappointed that the FOV slider currently appears limited toCall of Duty: Vanguardrather than extending toCall of Duty: Warzone, though some theorize that Sledgehammer Games' initial response suggests that an FOV slider is also planned forCall of Duty: Warzoneon at least one console.

Call of Duty: Vanguardis set to release on November 5 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
