Raven Software continues to work on a number of lingering technical issues inCall of Duty: Warzonethat players have been frustrated with since the Caldera map was introduced to the game. One issue that players believed to have been improved, if not outright solved for most players, revolved aroundCall of Duty: Warzone’s Buy Stations. A recent patch claimed to have addressed the problem, at least partially. Players, however, are making clear that they’re still having serious problems.
Multiple threads on themainCall of Duty: Warzonesubreddithave called attention to the continued problems with the battle royale’s Buy Stations. One example posted on Friday shows just how frustrated players have gotten. The post reads “FIX THE ******* BUY STATION GLITCH,” and goes on to explain that they’ll be having a good game only for a Buy Station to kick them out of the match. Worse, they say they’ll freeze early in a match, or freeze trying to buy a teammate back and die to the bubble while unable to do anything.

The Reddit post’s replies are full of people agreeing with the sentiment. There are users on bothPlayStation and Xbox, each saying that while the error isn’t happening every time a Buy Station is used, it’s frequent enough to make the game incredibly frustrating.
Raven has never claimed to have fullyfixed the Buy Station issue inCall of Duty: Warzone. A recent patch did, however, claim to have made “major improvements” toward the reduction of the problem. With the frequency that some players claim that they’re still seeing the Buy Station bug, it seems likely that Raven either believed it had fixed more than it had or that it exaggerated its fix.
What’s happening is that when players use aBuy StationinCall of Duty: Warzone, the game can either kick a player out of the match or freeze the game for the player. Others will still see the player in the match, standing frozen in front of the Buy Station. It’s also possible for the game to seriously lag, but players are able to exit the Buy Station menu and continue playing as normal.
Raven is continuing to work on the problem. The Buy Station issue was never removed from theCall of Duty: Warzonedevelopment Trello, indicating it was in active investigation. That doesn’t necessarily it’ll be fixed soon, of course. It’s been in the Trello for some time already. That’s unfortunately just the state ofCall of Duty: Warzonefor the time being.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
