Crossplay enables a larger overall player base, allows friends on different platforms to play together, and gives players the option of playing against only those on their same platform or all platforms. When keyboard and mouse players have to go up against controller users that are benefitted from massive aim assist or when console players feel constantly pressured by the hyper-precision of mouse and keyboard players, that’s when crossplay can be a bit negative if mandatory. Thankfully,Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II (2022)gives players the option to turn crossplay off. So, let’s go over how to do it on each platform.
How To Turn Off Crossplay On PC
Sadly, at the moment,there is no option for turning off crossplay on PC. There’s been no statement on the matter either but it’s very likely the option will be added in by Infinity Ward at some point in the near future,given how many other UI issues the game seems to have.
How To Turn Off Crossplay On Playstation
To turn it off onPlaystation,one of the more popular platforms for the game, players will need to head into theOptionsmenu and then theAccount and Networksection. Then, right there at the top should be acrossplay On or Off optionfor them. Keep in mind that players will need to do this from the main menu or the launcher, as the option won’t be modifiable when already in a lobby, mid-match, or in a tournament.
How To Turn Off Crossplay On Xbox
And finally, there’sXbox. Now, like PC, there isn’t a way as of yet to turn off crossplay within the in-game menus forModern Warfare II (2022). But, luckily, fans have figured out a workaround.
