Now,Dungeons and Dragonshas gotten into the spirit of the exciting launch by releasing some digital products onD&D Beyondinspired byBaldur’s Gate 3. The free bundle includes a digital dice set players can use onD&D Beyond, as well as some stylish character sheets for each of thesix Origin companions inBaldur’s Gate 3. Players can claim these free assets on theirD&D Beyondaccounts.
The digital dice is a stunning blue and silver, featuring the Larian Studios logo in place of the natural 20 on the d20. The character sheets, on the other hand, have a colorful design that borrows graphics directly fromBaldur’s Gate 3. Each of the six Origin companions is stated up at first level, with all of their abilities, gear, and backstory laid out in an easy-to-read fashion. Players can easily play these characters in their own games, or Dungeon Masters can have them show up intheir ownDungeons and Dragonscampaignsas NPCs.
Needless to say, players were charmed by these gorgeousD&D Beyondproducts. Fans often get a kick out of whenDungeons and Dragonsmakes stats for characters from other media, such as thestat blocks for the cast ofHonor Among Thieves. Baldur’s Gate 3uses a faithful video game recreation of the5th Edition Dungeons and Dragonsrules. Though it streamlines several mechanics for the sake of being a video game, it is otherwise a nearly-perfect adaptation of5th Edition, and will likely be the go-to method for playingDungeons and Dragonswithout actually getting together forD&Dsessions.Baldur’s Gate 3will undoubtedly attract more players to the classic TTRPG system–and luckily,Dungeons and Dragonsis working on a user-friendly updateto the core rules in 2024.
Baldur’s Gate 3is out now on PC and will come out on September 6 for PS5. An Xbox version is in development.
