Wade Wilson’s Deadpool is easily the most rambunctious Marvel character in existence. This is largely due to the fact that Deadpool can act outside the panels of a comic book or past whatever screen he appears on. Deadpool is immensely immature and immodest, and his omniscient presence can make for hilarious circumstances. Like a fish out of water,Marvel’s Midnight Sunshas recently unveiled Deadpool’s involvement in an unsuspected and unorthodox marketing promotion for the game. This has resulted inDeadpool’s takeover ofMarvel’s Midnight Sunson social media.
It is still uncertain what capacity Deadpool is involved inMarvel’s Midnight Suns, such as whether fans need to express their desire for him to be added or not. But there is more reason to believe he could be added as a post-launch character. It will be interesting to see whatMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ regular gameplaylooks like in its endgame, let alone its New Game Plus runs. It seems as though there will be countless hours to spend in-and-around the Abbey inMarvel’s Midnight Suns, and if Deadpool was allowed to be let loose within its walls, the game could become much more hysterical.

Deadpool Could Be Hilarious in Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ Abbey
Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ Abbeyis home to the game’s social-RPG features. Players return from combat encounters and dust off their wounds in the mansion, where they can interact with their playable Marvel characters and level up their passive abilities.
There are even more features slated to appear in the Abbey at launch that have not been disclosed yet, giving it incredible potential for engaging content. These features were briefly teased inMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ recent livestream event, such as being able to create custom comic book covers or even tamper with what appears in portrait frames throughout the Abbey. Imagining how fun the Abbey will be with its base roster of playable characters is exciting.

But having Deadpool appear from around corners to pester other iconic Marvel characters, or move into the player’s screen to converse with them in his own friendship interactions, could make the game that much more astounding. Seeing how creatively the character popped up intoMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ marketing, there is no telling how imaginative his actual implementation into the game could be.
Marvel’s Midnight Suns’ Deadpool Could Be a Nuisance in the Best Way
Of course, too much of Deadpool’s shenanigans could potentially take away from the game’s core experience, especially if he is nudging his way into everyone’s conversations. Still, his inclusion would be a great way to shake up the Abbey’s familial dynamic in a post-launch DLC release.
Deadpool has made appearances here-and-there in Marvel games with all-encompassing rosters, such asMarvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. But Deadpool would truly be given the lack of restraints that he deserves inMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ tactical-RPG atmosphere.
Getting to establish a friendship with Deadpool could be equal parts infuriating and sidesplitting, and one could only imagine what kinds of conversations players would have to endure when talking to the Merc with a Mouth. If nothing else, Deadpool’s unpredictable behavior could be a nice distraction from the gloomy stoicism that other characters may express.
Deadpool will hopefully be added toMarvel’s Midnight Suns’ playable character rosterin some capacity; not even mentioning Deadpool’s card-based gameplay and what that could entail, the character would be perfect even if players could only interact with him at the Abbey as an NPC. With plans to release new playable characters in DLC later on, Deadpool certainly deserves a spot on the roster.
