The Heliocentric QSc is a Lightweight Frame Sidearm inDestiny 2that’s proven to be a reliable pistol in PvE and a menace in the Crucible. It may not stand out much at first, but it’s got a few special things going for it that make it worth grinding for.
Sidearms are great for close-quarters fighting inDestiny 2, and Lightweight Frames like the Heliocentriccan give even SMGsa run for their money. Apart from simply feeling great to use, this pistol can pack a serious punch if players get one with the right perk rolls. In seasons with anti-champion Sidearm artifact mods, the Heliocentric can put in a ton of work for Scorch-based Solar builds.Incandescentis avery strong perk for buildcrafting, especially in Season of the Wish and its Solar-heavy artifiact mod lineup.Heal Clipsynergizes well with any perk that triggers off enemy deaths, and it’ll help keep players alive a tad bit longer in chaotic combat arenas where shots are coming from all directions.
As for PvP, a Heliocentric with full Range perks can reach up to ~16m, which is more than enough to dominate in close quarters against SMGs (as long as you may play your engagement distance correctly).Enlightened Actionand Kill Clipare particularly strong at chaining together kills; the former can max out the Heliocentric’s reload speed, while the latter buffs the gun’s damage by 25%. With Kill Clip active, Heliocentric has an optimal TTK value of 0.50 against T10 Guardians (two headshots, two body shots to kill).
It’s worth noting that every perk in the Heliocentric’s pool is great for PvP, even the super-risky Surrounded perk since it drops the gun’s TTK down to 0.33.Precision Instrumentis also a noteworthy perk that can help players eliminate even T10 Guardians in 0.50s flat if they hit consecutive headshots, though that may be hard to do considering the Heliocentric’s recoil and the spammy nature of Sidearms in general.
How to Get Heliocentric QSc in Destiny 2
The unfortunate part about the Heliocentric is that it’s a world drop, which means players can get it from almost everywhere. Killing PvE combatants and opening Public Event chests have a chance of rewarding players with world drops, but this isn’t guaranteed.
One of the best ways to farm world drops isthe Terminal Overload activityin Neomuna. The double-dip chest cheese has since been patched out of the game, but the added density in this activity is so high that players can expect to get several world drops over the course of the event. In general, high-density encounters are great for farming legendary engrams — full dungeon completions are great for farming world drops since players will also be getting exclusive loot as well as Powerful and Pinnacle rewards as they burn through each encounter.
Alternatively, players can check what Banshee-14 has in stock. World drop weapons usually appear in his inventory, and opening Gunsmith Engrams has a chance of dropping a Heliocentric QSc as well.
