ADestiny 2player suggests an idea that would make Ada-1 more useful as a vendor in the Tower while addressing some of the complaints about the current weapon ornament system. Ada-1 was introduced as the Black Armory vendor during Year 2 ofDestiny 2, and many players believe she may serve a new purpose heading into the next season and The Final Shape expansion.

Destiny 2’sSeason of the Forge brought Black Armory weapons and extensive quest lines involving Ada-1, an Exo and a survivor from humanity’s Golden Age era. Although Ada-1 no longer grants Black Armory quests, she serves as the curator ofDestiny 2’sSynthesis system, which allows players to transmogrify armor. Additionally, Ada-1’s shop includes a rotating lineup of shaders and armor that players may purchase with Legendary Shards and Glimmer. Moreover,Destiny 2players have begun to brainstorm another purpose for Ada-1 while anticipating more information about The Final Shape expansion in a few months.

Destiny 2player Veracsflail1 wants Ada-1 to sell legendary weapon ornaments from prior seasons, allowing other players to purchase cosmetics they may have missed out on. Veracsflail1 suggests these legendary weapon ornaments should be purchased with bright dust since the currency is readily available and usable in the Eververse store. The user also wants legendary weapon ornaments to be in the loot pool forhigh levelDestiny 2activitiessuch as Master dungeons and Grandmaster Nightfalls.

Veracsflail1 believes the inclusion of legendary weapon ornaments in Ada-1’s shop may alleviate FOMO, or “fear or missing out.” Further, the user believes a reintroduction of past legendary weapon ornaments may incentivizeDestiny 2players to pursue endgame content for rewards outside of weapons and armor. Several players in theDestiny 2community agree with the sentiment and wish for many legendary weapon ornaments.

Destiny 2may benefit greatly by having its vast catalog of legendary weapon ornaments available to purchase or earn by playing through content. If this new idea were implemented, moreDestiny 2players may be encouraged to visit Ada-1 each week due to an expanded lineup of armor, shaders, and ornaments. At the very least, this feature may provide an alternative toDestiny 2’s lucrative Eververse store.

Bungie has no definitive plans to reintroduce old legendary weapon ornaments into endgame PvE and PvP content. However, theDestiny 2developers appreciate feedback from its community, so fans should continue to make their opinions heard about the legendary weapon ornaments that are no longer obtainable for many of their favorite weapons. Continued feedback from fans may be vital toward Bungie’s decision-making for new features arriving inThe Final Shape expansion.

Destiny 2is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
