One of the main side activities inGhost of Tsushimais finding and liberating areas of the map from Mongol control. The Mongol army’s invasion is, well, invasive, and no part of Tsushima Island is left untouched by their influence. It is up to Jin to find and eliminate every last vestige of enemy influence in his homeland.
One of these missions is ‘Destroy Shipyard,’ which appears on the western coast of Izuhara after completing the’A New Horizon' main quest to enter Act 2. The final objective of this mission asks you to find and destroy a black powder cache. However, the search area is quite large, and there is no quest marker to make the search easier, requiring players to actually look for the cache.
Black Powder Cache Location in Destroy Shipyard Mongol Territory
The final step needed to destroy the shipyard is to ‘destroy the black powder cache.’ It can befound in a cart at the ship’s stern (the backmost part), in the same place where the players can find the War Camp General.
You canuse the Iron Hookto sneak onto the ship using the ziplines leading up to it.
First, enter the ship using the main walkway. All enemies in the area should already be dead at this point in the mission, so this should not be a problem. Enter the door to the left and exit through the back. The black powder cache cart will be on your left.
Hold the interact button to ignite the contraption, then jump into the water. It will blow the entire shipyard to smithereens after a few seconds, completing the mission.
The quest objective marker for the black powder cache does not appear unless you are standing right in front of it after completing the previous two objectives (releasing the three falcons and killing the War Camp General). Even though the War Camp General is found in the same area as the cart with the black powder, if you lure and kill the General in the main part of the ship, near the walkway, the marker for the cache will not appear.
You can sneak kill the Mongol Leaderwith a Longbowand activate the fuse on the black powder cache in quick succession to finish the mission quickly. Killing the surrounding enemies is not actually required to complete the objectives.
