There are plenty of things forDisney Dreamlight Valleyplayers to do if they want to keep busy, including taming the animals that roam the various regions. While this takes some effort to do, oneDisney Dreamlight Valleyfan has shared a series of images to simplify the process.
There are a few different reasons to tame the critters scattered throughoutDisney Dreamlight Valley, with the first being that each successful interaction grants players an item drop. While these drops can just be random spices or flowers from the area, they can also be item bags that provide motifs, furniture, and outfits. EvenDream Shardscan be dropped by the game’s adorable wildlife. However, the second reward is even more exciting, as players are able to get the critters as pets once fully tamed.

Every region inDisney Dreamlight Valleyhas its own critter, with raccoons, squirrels, turtles, rabbits, crocodiles, foxes, and sunbirds all able to be tamed. Instead of just featuring one of each animal, though, Gameloft has added five different colors to tame, with each variant appearing at a different time of day. Some of the variants even prefer a different food type, making the taming process more difficult. Each of the seven different guides follows the same format as the sunbird guide pictured above, focusing on one specific critter. For sunbirds,Disney Dreamlight Valleyplayerswill need to use a specific flower for four of the five variants, which is very difficult to discover and memorize without a guide. If players use these images as a reference, though, they should have no problem turning all the game’s wild critters into loyal pets.
The guides even distinguish the foods that the critters like and love. For instance, foxes like salmon but love white sturgeon, giving players a few options if they are unable to catch the rarer fish or want to get the most relationship points out of a single item. Crocodiles are similar in the sense that they like octopus but adore lobster, while squirrels prefer peanuts but will settle for any fruit players give them.
