In speaking with IGN, Dontnod Entertainment CEO Oskar Guilbert says that at the moment the company is ready to move on from the series. He says that its reasoning has to do with the company looking to develop its own IP that it can retain full ownership and control of. Guilbert says that this decision allows the company to retain control of its portfolio and future. Dontnod’s head of publishing Havier Spinat, however, did add that the company is continuing to watch what happens with the series because itsfans care aboutLife is Strange, so the company does as well, even if it isn’t currently involved with it.

As for what is in store for Dontnod Entertainment’s future, Guilbert goes on to say that the company will continue to work with the publisher Focus Home Interactive, who published their titleVampyr.Dontnod Entertainment has confirmed that it is working on six new titles, and it seems that it wants to maintain complete ownership of those future titles. Little is known about just what those projects will entail, but Guilbert does say that Dontnod’s return toLife is Strangeis a possibility in the future, but that it isn’t something the company is interested in at the moment.

While manyLife is Strangefans may be disappointed that Dontnod is now currently working on the series, it is good to hear that the company will have so many titles for its fans in the future.
