This new storyline perfectly continues from where theDr. Stone: Ryusui Anime Specialleft off, so anyone who thought this was worth a skip should re-evaluate that decision before beginning withNew World. It’s time for Senku to set sail, and “needless to say, this unprecedented mission will be beyond dangerous!”

Senku’s Making Waves
It’s delightful to get a teaser trailer with subtitles attached right off the bat, as it eliminates a lot of conjectures regarding the upcoming season!Dr. Stone’sSeason 3 teaser reveals that Senku’s new quest will involve a treasure hunt of sorts, in the hopes of concocting the highly revered unlimited revival fluid. Their mission is conveniently located on Treasure Island, which is believed to be the site where Byakuya and the other Astronauts once called home. Before his final days, Byakuya left a little gift hidden for future scientists to cultivate; however, the Island is not as uninhabited as appearances dictate, and locating this precious resource mightn’t be as easy as they thought.
New World’s New Characters
This season ofDr. Stonewill act as the first of two cours, which are expected to neatly finish off The Source of the Petrification Saga, but have no fear! There is still plenty of source material left to adapt (with 26 volumes of manga in total to work with.)Dr. Stone New Worldwill featurea fresh face that was first introduced in the Anime Special, the infamous sea dog,Ryusui Nanami(Ryouta Suzuki), although his fate, and that of his crew, seems to lead down a rocky path. The seafarer’s butler,Francois(Maaya Sakamoto) will accompany their master on the mission, bringing their colorful quirks, unique flair, and scrumptious cooking to the storyline.
Fan-favoriteold-timers like Gen Asagiri,Chrome, Kohaku Taiju Ooki, and Yuzuriha Ogawa are also going to make an appearance, while the newest characters have yet to be revealed, keeping up with the mystery of the unexpected inhabitants of Treasure Island. However, the trailer gives fans a glimpse of a pixie-type individual who initially gives off strong villainess vibes. Her presence seems to indicate further petrification in the future; trespassers beware!
Dr. Stone New Worldwill continue working with the same praiseworthy crew as before, with TOHO Animation and Shueisha, not to mention TMS Entertainment, working together to produce some worthwhile content. This epic action adventure with a scientific twist is due to joinCrunchyroll’sSpring lineup as of 15 May 2025, while the English dub will be available from 20 April onwards.
