Devised by Raya Lucaria’s Primeval Sorcerer Azur, Comet Azur stands out as one of the most powerful spells. This Primeval sorcery unleashes a formidable comet beam in a single direction, allowing players to sustain the attack by continuously channeling it until their focus points (FP) are depleted. In this guide, players can learn about Comet Azur and how to unlock this legendary spell inElden Ring.
Where to Find Comet Azur
Hermit Village, Mt. Gelmir
For being a legendary spell, Comet Azur is pretty easy to obtain. Unlike someother legendary armamentsand spells, Comet Azur is not locked behind a boss fight or questline. While it is part of Sorceress Sellen’s questline, players don’t need to pursue the quest to claim this legendary spell.
To unlock this spell, players simply need to interact with Primeval Sorcerer Azur at Hermit Village in Mt. Gelmir. However, this is easier said than done, as the only way to reach Hermit Village is by going all around Mt. Gelmir. Moreover, this location is in the Altus Plateau, so players first need tounlock the Altus Plateau.
How to Get to Hermit Village
The journey to Hermit Village begins from the Seethewater River site of grace. You can find this grace site by going towards the ravine west of Wyndham Ruins located north of Erdtree-Gazing Hill in Altus Plateau. After reaching Seethewater Ruins, hop on Torrent and start riding north. Keep heading towards the east while avoiding volcanic hot springs until you reach Fort Laiedd.
From Fort Laiedd, start heading south to discover a lake of lava home to a Magma Wyrm. Players can skip this fight and keep heading south. If you encounter an aggressive rune bear, then you are on the right path. Keep following the path to enter Hermit Village.
On the other side of Hermit Village, you will come across Demi-Human Queen Maggie alongside some Raya Lucaria Sorcerers and Demi-Human monsters. You can choose to avoid this fight by riding Torrent past these enemies and going to the grace site located behind Demi-Human Queen Maggie and beside Primeval Sorcerer Azur. Rest at the grace site to reset enemies’ aggression towards you.
Now, you will be able to interact with Primeval Sorcerer Azur. This NPC has no dialogue and just lies there in peace. After interacting with him, you will automatically get the legendary Comet Azur spell inElden Ring. You can later pursueSorceress Sellen’s questto unlock Sorcerer Azur’s armor set, especially his headgear, to boost Comet Azur’s damage by 15%.
