Elden Ringhas many items littered across its stunning open world, many of which are placed just out of the player’s reach to encourage exploration. With the addition of Torrent,Elden Ring’s faithful magical mount, as well as a jump button, FromSoftware has gotten creative in its verticality, placing many hidden items above and below the player. One such item can be found in Waypoint Ruins, in Western Limgrave, the opening section of the map. This guide will help players find and grab the rare crafting item to help them on their journey.
Where to Find the Item
The item can be found in Waypoint Ruins,found east-northeast of ‘The First Step’ Site of Grace, found when the player leaves the starting area, andsouthwest of Mistwood Ruins. There, players can find iton a dead body atop the ruins, in a cornernear the Giant Poison Flower.
Defeating the Flowers
Firstly, players shoulddefeat the Giant Poison Flowerand the smaller ones around it. Both creatures haveArea of Effect attacks which can poison the player, slowly draining their health. Players cancure poison with a certain item and spellto help make the fight easier, though poison attacks are clearly telegraphed, asthe Flowers will slowly lean back before lunging forward, giving the player time to dodge and attack from behind.

The Giant Poison Flower has a larger AoE, and will squash its body down before spraying poison in an area around it, giving the player time to back off and, if possible, attack from a distance. The Giant Flower will alsosummon pillars of light from the skywhich are telegraphed by drops of white light rising from the ground. This attack has quite a restrictive range, however, so when this happens, simply sidestep the area of light to avoid the beams.
All the plants are vulnerable to fire, which can negate poison, so pyromancers will have an advantage here,depending on the weather.
Getting the Item
Players may notice that the ruins on which the item sits corners into a ledge that leads closer to the ground - however, the Tarnished cannot jump high enough to reach it; instead,summon Torrentusing the Spectral Steed Whistle andline him up with the lower ledge(this is more easily done with an analog controller).
Start heading upwards anduse Torrent’s double jump to get to the item. Players shouldn’t have to adjust the camera or move if they’ve lined Torrent up correctly, as his double jump sends him forward enough to not overshoot.
When he reaches the top, dismount without moving, andthe mysterious Tarnishedshould stand on the ledge correctly, even if there isn’t enough room. If players fall down or overshoot the jump, just return to the start and attempt to line Torrent up again.
After dismounting, players shouldcarefully edge their way along the ledgeto grab the item, which is4 Trina’s Lilies, used to craft Sleep Potsafter grabbing Fevor’s Cookbook (1).
