The Steadfast’s Mettle armor set gives Stamina-based players a few useful boons, and its full equip bonus is great for players who find themselves interrupting, breaking free from, or dodging enemy attacks. Read the description for thisElder Scrolls Onlinearmor set carefully, though, as it applies to a select few skills that don’t include weapon or class abilities.

If a food buff is active, Core Combat ability costs are reduced by 25% across the board
The Steadfast’s MettleHigh Islearmor set is one that isn’tgeared towards a particular playstyle- well, aside from giving only Stamina buffs. With two, three, and four pieces equipped players gain bonuses to Stamina Regen and Max Stamina. With a full set equipped (at least five pieces total), the Steadfast’s Mettle armor set gives a massive reduction in Core Combat ability costs - but only if the wearer has a food buff active.

The set is strange, in part because it doesn’t reduce costs across the board but instead targets only Core Combat abilities. These aren’t your class or weapon abilities, they are abilities like Block, Dodge Roll, Break Free, Bash, and Sprint that every character has access to. The reduction in cost isn’t that big, and there are certainly sets that improve Core Combat skills better. However, if you find yourself using these Core Combat abilitiesa lot in ESO, consider picking up this set to reduce your resource consumption greatly.
