Included in the photos shared by Chan are her co-stars Richard Madden, Barry Keoghan, Lauren Ridloff, and Brian Tyree Henry. The Eternals got their introduction in this film and while it probably won’t get a sequel, that doesn’t mean that fans won’t see them in the future.Salma Hayek signed on for multiple Marvel movies, so this potentially may be the lastEternalsfilm, but it doesn’t mean it’s the last fans will get to see of this universe or the characters.

Marvel Studios is known for introducing new heroes and compelling villains in its films.Eternalsbrought a good number of charactersinto the fold while also teasing a few more appearances than fans probably expected. The film did a great job at hiding this from the masses but, of course, the internet makes it harder for those who follow things closely.Eternalsmay not have been received well by critics, but it certainly was a passion project for the people involved.

Eternalshas been critiqued pretty harshly and a lot of news about the film in recent weeks was about its rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Many people have critiques for Marvel and superhero movies in general, especially other folks in the film industry. A lot ofthe critiques forEternalsmay be a result of the film having A-list actors in it, which Marvel Studios isn’t typically known for doing. Marvel is usually the place where actors go to become ‘A-listers’ rather than the other way around.

Still, Marvel isn’t all bad, as it propelled a lot of film tropes that have stuck around. Their mid-credits or post-credits scenes are common staples for almost all of their films because the universe/story is all intertwined and connected. Many movie studios have started their own shared universe, including Legendary Pictures with the ‘Monsterverse’.Fast and Furiousis another example, and evenThe Conjuringhas its own universewhere things spin-off and connect to the plot of the main films. Plus, the post-credits are a good way for the people who worked hard on the film to get the recognition they deserve while fans wait for something in return. It’s a perfect win-win.
