UnlikeVice CityandSan Andreas, there are no in-game rewards for achieving 100% completion inGrand Theft Auto 3. There are, however, plenty of bonuses for completing some of the smaller tasks that contribute towards 100% completion, not to mention a myriad of trophies/achievements for players to unlock. For many players, it’s not even about the rewards anyway, but instead, the bragging rights earned through having mastered such an iconic game.

Among other things, those hoping to achieve 100% completion inGrand Theft Auto 3will need to complete 76 missions, steal and deliver 39 vehicles and find over a hundred collectibles that are hidden across the game’s three main islands. Needless to say, they’re going to have their work cut out for them, with a completionist run of the game typically clocking in above the 40-hour mark. It’s far from easy, though can also be quite enjoyable for those who enjoy the carnage.
Story Missions
There are 51 story missions inGTA 3, some of which are actually missable and can prevent players from reaching 100% completion. To avoid this, players should verify to finish all of the other missions in Portland before completing “Last Requests” for Salvatore. Likewise, players will need to finish all of Kenji’s missions before tackling “Waka-Gashira Wipeout!” and Asuka’s “Two-Faced Tanner” mission before completing “Grand Theft Aero.”

Phone Missions
In a nice nod tothe originalGrand Theft Autogames, Claude is able to pick up extra missions from certain payphones across the game’s three islands. Missions from Marty and El Burro are handed out from payphones found in Portland, while the payphones for King Courtney and D-Ice are located on Staunton Island and Shoreside Vale respectively. In total, there are 17 phone missions, with Ray handing out five and the other three offering up four apiece.

Side Missions
As well as being able to pick up missions from payphones, players can also find them by getting into certain vehicles. Off-Road and RC Vehicle missions are triggered by entering specific vehicles across Liberty City, while the four Vehicle missions can be triggered by pressing up on the d-pad while inside any ambulance, firetruck, law enforcement vehicle, or taxi. Completing the vehicle missions will also unlock special rewards, including health, adrenaline, police bribes, and a flamethrower at every safe house, as well as infinite sprint and the Borgnine taxi, which is one ofthe fastest vehicles inGTA 3.

Import/Export
Those looking tomake some easy money inGrand Theft Auto 3will definitely want to check out the Import/Export garages and cranes. There’s one of each at the docks in Portland and a garage in Shoreside Vale. Each has a list of vehicles for players to track down and will pay money for each one that players deliver. Upon completing a list, players will be rewarded with $200,000.

Collectibles
As is tradition forGrand Theft Autogames,GTA 3features plenty of collectibles hidden across its three islands. Players will need to collect100 Hidden Packages, complete20 Rampages, and master all20 Unique Jumpsif they’re to reach 100% completion. All three sets have trophies/achievements dedicated to them and will pay out a decent amount of money upon completion, while collecting all of the packages will also lead to certain weapons spawning outside each of Claude’s safe houses. Tempting though it may be to deal with all of the collectibles after completing the main story, it’s worth tracking down the ones in Portland beforeunlocking the second island, as doing so afterward will be incredibly difficult due to the mafia being hostile towards Claude.
