Summary

Fallout: Londonis perhaps one of the most ambitious mods for the 2015 release,Fallout 4. Fallout: Londonis touted as a trailblazing, DLC-sized mod for Bethesda’s most recent release in theFalloutfranchise, and the developers seem to be working hard to keep that promise. Built by an independent team of modders, this mod features an entirely new area approximately the size of theFallout 4Commonwealth, an original story, and a slew of brand-new factions that will inhabit post-apocalyptic London. Among the many interesting factions the team has developed is one with a particularly iconic name: Camelot.

The faction of Camelot is named after the historical name of King Arthur’s Court where he and the Knights of the Round Table made their home. Also known as “The Camelot Movement”, this organization is mysterious and secretive. They are deeply connected to the history and culture of the City of London and are likely to play an important role in the story of the DLC-sized mod. Camelot’s stance on the events of the game and their connection to each other faction is likely to provide some interesting moments when players dive into thisfan-madeFalloutexperience.

Fallout: London’s Camelot Faction Explained

The Camelot Movement, Camelot for short, isaFallout: Londonfactionthat takes inspiration from a few different periods in England’s history. With their design reminiscent of the British Commandos of World War II, and their name and beliefs coming from the Arthurian legends of Camelot, this faction represents several important elements of London’s history. This carries over into the faction’s main philosophy, learning from the past to build a better future. However, seeking to do so in a way that avoids past mistakes.

Camelot is described as one of the least powerful factions inFallout: Londonafter The Gentry and the others. In the lore ofFallout: London, Camelot has been forced underground by The Gentry. It is said that Camelot seeks to set up a new republic in post-war London, slowly and steadily working from the shadows. True revolutionaries, The Camelot Movement plan to overthrow the current Gentry rule and establish a new government where all Britons have a seat at the round table. Which could potentially offer some interesting choices for players to make during the events of the game.

Camelot in the Greater Fallout Universe

Camelot seeks to defend the oppressed and defeat the current ruler of London, The Gentry. The Gentry are descendants of pre-wararistocrats and British government officials inFallout: London. Their strict rule is ambitious in that they seek to rebuild the United Kingdom, starting within the walls of Westminster. However, due to the presence of other factions like Camelot, their power is in question. Perhaps, during the events of the game, players will be able to choose to defend or overthrow The Gentry rule.

As all previous games in theFalloutfranchise have taken place in the United States, it is exciting to see aFalloutgame focused on another setting. London is a city with a rich culture and a long history, perfect for exploring and unwrappingan originalFalloutstory. It would be cool to see games in theFalloutfranchise take notes fromFallout: Londonand explore other locations around the globe. Hopefully, the story ofFallout: Londonand Camelot will be the start of something new for the future.
