InFinal Fantasy XIV,there are beast tribes that players can do daily content forin order to get rewardsand experience. BetweenA Realm Reborn, Heavensward, Stormblood, andShadowbringers, there are a ton of beast tribes. Each one has its own story, special rewards, and can be class locked for just combat classes, crafting, or gathering. It can be rare to find a player who has done one hundred percent of all the beast tribes. It takes a ton of time to level up your reputation with these tribes to unlock the more valuable rewards.

For those who do not have the time for all the tribes, what tribes should they focus on? Here are five tribes that have cool rewards and five tribes that are worth skipping if you don’t have the time.
Updated on July 01, 2025, by Allison Stalberg:WithShadowbringerswrapped up andEndwalkeron the horizon, players are hoping to do as much content as possible before theEndwalkerexpansion drops in the Fall. Fans have already learned that new beast tribes are coming, and many are not even done with the tribes ofA Realm Reborn,Heavensward,Stormblood, andShadowbringers. So it is now time to list every single beast tribe so far, and whether they are really worth completing or not.

14(Cool) Namazu
These funny little guys are in theStormbloodexpansion, and their beast tribe quest-line is hilarious in story and worth it for the rewards. What sets them apart from all other beast tribes is that they can be used by both gathering and crafting classes. No other beast tribe is open to both!
The humor of the Namazu questline, the experience points, and the top rewards make it one of the best. Through them, you’re able to learn the Yol Dance emote, get the Mikoshi mount, a minion, orchestration role, and more.

13(Skip) Ixali
The Ixali are the most often skipped beast tribe by players for good reason. Their quests are especially tedious. They are the first crafting-centered beast tribe, and it’s easy to tell that due to how unpolished the quests feel in comparison to the later ones. To craft for them, players have to wear a special pair of gloves with a low item level. Sometimes their quests send to you different areas that players have to teleport to as well.
Besides being tedious, the rewards are lacking. Players can get a minion and mount, but few players like or use them.

12(Cool) Pixies
The Pixies are one of the more recent beast tribes, and thus incredibly polished. Firstly, players love the area the beast tribe unlocks. They get to unlock a sort of dream world full of colorful toys, fantastical structures, and delectable sweets. It is great for players who like to take cute screenshots of their character.

Besides that, the story is pretty interesting. Players learn of the most interesting bossesinShadowbringers: Titania. They also can get one of the cutest mounts, a porxie, as well as cute furniture to unlock like macaroon cushions, flower lamps, and stuffed porxies.
11(Skip) Vanu Vanu
The Vanu Vanu are out ofHeavenswardand are often forgotten about by players. Their story, characters, and designs are not interesting. Their mount is a serpent that feels oddly stiff in its animation. Their minions are not ever seen because players who have them don’t even use them. Their dance emote is also pretty lacking in interesting movements, though a bit funny and amusing at first glance.
Besides all that, the Sea of Clouds is an annoying area to do quests in. Players are often flying up and down constantly to see what floating rock a quest is located on.

10(Cool) Moogles
Moogles are a major staple of theFinal Fantasyseries. That alone can make their beast tribe quests worth it for some players. However, it’s more than just these creatures being iconic. They offer one of the more popular mounts, a Cloud Mallow. They also can get the player clothes like Mog Slippers and an adorable dance emote.
Their area, while is a bunch of floating rocks, is pretty flat. So it is easy to find different locations.

9(Skip) Amalj’aa
These guys are among the first beast tribes in the game for players to interact with. Much like the Vanu Vanu, they suffer from being ultimately uninteresting. There is an interesting Miqo’te character who counts herself as one of them, but besides that, the story is easily forgotten about.

All you can really get from these guys is a drake mount anda minion that is not popular among players. The drake really pales in comparison to a dragon mount players automatically get inHeavensward.
8(Cool) Dwarves
Dwarves are the most recent Beast Tribe to come toFinal Fantasy XIV, and they are for crafting classes only. They are the best way to level a crafting class up to 80, other than crafting for the Firmament in Ishgard.
Their rewards are better than some other Beast Tribes. By doing their quests, players can eventually get a minion, orchestration, mount, furniture, and even an emote. Players are partial to the mount, as it is an actual tank.

7(Skip) Sylphs
While they have the best creature design of theRealm RebornBeast Tribes, the sylph beast tribe quests can be frustrating because of their location. Most of the quests require the player to go into the maze-like area where they can have trouble finding where they are supposed to actually go, even with a mini-map. On top of that, some of the quests are unnecessarily tedious.
As for rewards, there are only four items players would likely want, and they are only unlocked by becoming Trusted with the sylphs. Those items include a minion, mount, and two furniture pieces.

6(Cool) Ananta
The snake people aren’t loved as much for their story as much as the stuff they can get the player. Out of all the beast tribes, the Ananta inStormbloodhave the most rewards. They have not one, but two mounts (an elephant and griffon), an emote that is pretty popular, and Maidservant permits so that you players have Ananta work in their home. They also can get false nails, which a ton of players strive for because they can basically paint their characters' nails with that piece of gear dyed.
5(Skip) Sahagin
These fish people are forgotten by even players that are still inA Realm Reborncontent. Their questline is uninteresting and their rewards are much like the Amalj’aa in terms of lacking. Their mount is not that different from the drake, but a little more uncanny and dinosaur-like. You can get a minion of them, but their design is not the sort you probably want following you around in comparison to the many cute minions available on the market board.
