Ubisoft has announced thatFor Honorwill receive enhancements on PlayStation 5 and the Xbox Series X/S. The hack-and-slash title enhancements are not a next-gen version of the game, but will have graphic upgrades and framerate boosts when playing with backward compatibility.
At launch, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 will be able to playFor Honorat 4K resolution. However, the lesser-priced Xbox Series S will be capable of playingFor Honorat 1080p resolution. With backward compatibility,For Honorwill run at its highest resolutions possible on the next-gen consoles.

For Honorat higher resolutions gives a sharper look at the brutality and action oflarge-scale Breach battlesand duels alike.For Honorcharacters have customizable armor and weapons that can be seen in greater detail thanks to the new bump, which should make it a more immersive experience. This is seen in the single screenshot released ofFor Honorrunning on next-gen systems, which can be viewed below.
Ubisoft has also announcedFor Honorwill receive a frame rate boostacross all next-gen consoles in December. As of now,For Honorhits 30 FPS across all consoles. With the December update, the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S will run the medieval combat title at 60 FPS. The boost is substantial for gameplay, especially since much ofFor Honor’s combat is based on quick reactions and timing. At 60 FPS, players will experience much smoother combat, giving them more ability to judge movement, time parries, and string together attacks.
Although it is not a true next-gen version, both consoles' backward compatibility will allow players to keepFor Honorplayer profiles, progress, and items on next-gen consoles. This is extremely helpful to players who may have played since the game’s release over three years ago. The graphics enhancements and frame rate boost may makeFor Honorfeel like a next-gen title and the cross-console save feature will guarantee that players can still use any loadouts or purchased characters.
The ability to carry over purchases and progression will be useful for veteran players, as many characters need to be purchased with the in-game currency Steel, or purchased with real-world money.For Honorhas also kept up new content, adding thenew DLC character Warmongerin August.
Ubisoft is continuing to supportFor Honorwith new content,battle passes, and seasons. With a December update already promised, it seems Ubisoft still has a lot in store for the title.For Honoris currently in Year 4 Season 3, which started on September 17th and added new armor, weapons, and a new map.
