Each season ofFortniteinnovates beyond what was before, andFortniteChapter 4 has introduced players to a new system called Augments. Players can earn up to four Augments per match, which act as perks that reset at the end of the game. Surviving long enough will see players have a tactical advantage over the players that do not share the same Augments.
Considering Augment rotations are random, players may want to keep their eyes peeled for the new Augments inFortniteChapter 4 Season 2. These Augments may not be the best of the growing variety, but knowing will help the player get one step closer to that Victory Royale inFortnite.
7Treasure Hunter
Looting is essential to survival inFortnite,and with Treasure Hunter, loot chests will be marked the first time a player enters a POI. Players that want to win look for the best loot inFortniteto get a step closer to the Victory Royale. However, Treasure Hunter may not benefit the player as much as they think it would, especially withvault locations brimming with loot.

Players can visualize audio in the accessibility settings, thus making Treasure Hunter obsolete, as players will receive an indication of where the chest is. The other thing that makes Treasure Hunter a waste is the fact that by the time the player gets this Augment, chances are the loot is already gone.
6Dumpster Diving
WithinFortnite, there are many safe places to hide from other players. Whether that’s for waiting out the storm or just avoiding overly-aggressive players that want to send their victims back to the battlebus. Yet, hiding is not a highly utilized mechanic, but may feature in some of thebest creative maps to play with friends.
Players can hide in cubicles, hay, dumpsters, and more. With the Dumpster Diving augment, loot will spawn once a player leaves a hiding spot. However, this nearby loot could be useless and then act as proof that a player is hiding nearby. What’s more, so late into the game, the player might not need this loot.
5Slap Surplus
Consumables inFortnitecan save the life of the player and their team by giving shield, stamina, or health. Slap Surplus will make sure that players will never run out of Slap Juice, as every container and chest they open contains at least one. Players might even need Slap Juice for themselves to catch up on theimportant storyline moments inFortnite.

Players can hold up to 6 Slap Juices at a time. Slap Juice takes roughly 2 seconds to drink and will grant 15 health and 50 seconds of infinite stamina. Slap Surplus is a lesser Augment to Splash Medic, which is used to give players a Chug Splash in every chest. Slap Surplus is good for guaranteed Splash Juice consumables, but doesn’t have the same effect as the superior Chug Splash.
4Dignified Finish
As part of the Combat Augments, Dignified Finish only benefits the player if theyhave the Kinetic Blade. If the player has this augment, eliminations will refresh this weapon’s Dash Attack. Luckily, these weapons are not too rare and can be found in many sources. However, the Dignified Finish Augment still requires a specific weapon to be useful.
Not only is Dignified Finish reliant on the player getting the Kinetic Blade, but it is also only useful if players can get an elimination first. The Dash Attack isn’t essential toFortnite, so this Augment is best reserved for players that enjoy the thrill of the blade.
3Medium Ammo AMP
With this augment, weapons that use medium ammo will have an increased magazine capacity. Most guns that use medium ammo usually consist of assault rifles. More tactical weapons like those with scopes and DMRs could benefit greatly from Medium Ammo AMP, as it will give the player a larger amount of ammo before they have to reload. The large magazine may give players hope of winning, the same hope some players have formore anime skins.

Considering some players are unpredictable, and aim can be even more so, Medium Ammo AMP may give players the edge they need over their opponents. One shot could be all it takes to take out that rival player.
2Shotgun Recycle
There have been plenty of the best shotguns inFortniteover the years. Each season often brings in a new shotgun or adds/removes one from previous seasons. Shotguns should be a part of the best loadouts inFortnitedue to their high damage in close-quarter situations.
With Shotgun Recycle, players can their shotgun with a chance of not consuming any ammo. This could be useful in any situation, especially tothose just trying to complete Milestone Quests. Players might get that extra shot in the chamber they need to eliminate a player that is one bullet from eliminating them.
1Munitions Slide
Mobility is coming out on top inFortniteand pushing building mechanics to the sidelines. One of the fast movements inFortniteis the slide, and with the Munitions Slide augment, players will gain ammo when they slide. This augment will benefit players that know how to use their mobility correctly.
Munitions Slide will keep medium ammo in the control of the player, and they won’t have to worry about their ammo count as long as they keep moving. However, since ammo isn’t the rarest inFortnite, Munitions Slide doesn’t have a totaladvantage over other Augments.
