It’s Complicated is an OG emote introduced in 2020 and has since appeared onFortnite12 times. The goofy dance features a player’s character gesticulating wildly and shrugging. To acquire It’s Complicated, players had to purchase it in-store for 500 V-Bucks.The last time this emote appeared inFortnitewas in 2021, contributing to its rarity. Today, it’s impossible to acquire this iconic emote, and only OG players who purchased it in 2020 can access it.
5Headbanger

Headbanger was first released inFortniteon June 19, 2025, and has appeared 39 times. Although the last appearance was recent (2024), Headbanger is a rare emote sinceit’s tied to Travis Scott’s in-game concert, which only occurred once. Hip-hop fans loved the concert when it premiered, and have since been begging Epic to bring back Travis Scott for another session of dance and music. So far, Epic hasn’t confirmed any plans for another concert, and all fans have to remember this day is the Headbanger emote.
4Hot Marat
Only Appeared Twice Since 2018
Hot Marat is one of the few emotes to only appear twice inFortnitesince its introduction in 2018. Its scarcity in the game’s Item Shop has significantly contributed to its rarity. Only a few players managed to get their hands on Hot Marat, making it a highly sought-after emote. The emote was last seen on June 27, 2025, and only OG players have it in their inventory. Fans hope Epic will bring back this gorgeous dance to show off in the battle royale.
3Zombie Shambles
A Limited-Time Emote
Released in 2020, the Zombie Shambles emote is the onlyFortnitedance to appear in the Item Shop for less than a day. Due to the short time limit, very few players purchased it, making it highly rare. The Zombie Shambles emote was a Halloween-themed dance designed for spooky enthusiasts. Zombie Shambles is rarely seen in-game, and some players have reported never seeing it during matches. There’s not much information as to why Epic discontinued it after a day, and fans may never get a chance to purchase it in the future.
2Kiss the Cup

Kiss the Cup is anotherFortniteemote that appeared in the game’s shop for a limited time. It was only available for a day before being scrapped, which makes it impossible to obtain now. Kiss the Cup was released to commemoratetheFortniteWorld Cup in 2019and has never returned since. Some OGFortniteplayers managed to get their hands on this rare dance, which features a character holding up and kissing a World Cup in celebration. Due to its unique appearance and dance style, many players hope it will return to the item shop, but this is highly unlikely.

A Limited Emote That May Never Come Back
Welcome! is a true classic emote that wasfirst introduced inFortnitein 2019. The dance was only available for two days and made three appearances before Epic scrapped it from the Item Shop. To acquire the emote, players had to purchase it in-store for 100 V-Bucks, which is relatively affordable. The Welcome! emote features a man holding a sign that reads “I ❤…” This emote is among the few that will possibly never come back to the Battle Royale, unless Epic has a massive change of heart.
