It seems like these daysFortnitehas collaborated with nearly every major brand on the market. FromStar Warsto the NFL and almost everything in between, the developers have made a skin for every occasion. Recently, the popular battle royale announced another crossover with Marvel.
In a tweet from the officialFortniteTwitter account, the developers unveiled that Shang-Chi has been added to the game. Corresponding to the release ofShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, this crossover is meant to help celebrate the launch of the movie in theaters. Epic Games is releasing the character as part of the Shang-Chi bundle. This collection of items includes the Shang-Chi Outfit, Great Protector’s Shield Back Bling, Blades of the Brother Hand Pickaxes, and Dragon’s Scale Wrap. Players can start playing as the Marvel hero now as the bundle is currently available for purchace in the Item Shop.

Shang-Chi joins an extensivelist of Marvel characters included inFortnite. While the addition of this new skin is no doubt appreciated by many fans, it shouldn’t come as a surprise at this point.Fortnitehas added new superheroes to the game corresponding to a number of Marvel movies. Just a few examples of other notable heroes from the franchise included in the game are Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow.
Beyond this new skin from the Marvel franchise, a number of other outfits have come to the game in recent days. Players have been able to unlock a number of skins in the Chapter 2 Season 7 Battle Pass such as Rick Sanchez fromRick and Mortyalong with Superman from DC Comics. Recently, the Ariana Grande skin came to the game as part of the game’s Rift Tour event. Furthermore, the game looks to possibly be getting more skins based on superheroes after aFortniteleaker claimed that aBatmancrossoverevent is coming soon.
While players can now play as Shang-Chi inFortnite, they can go see the movieShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Ringsin theaters today. The film is the second movie from Marvel to release during the pandemic and continues Phase 4 of the franchise. In addition to its theatrical release, the movie will also be coming to Disney Plus on October 18.
The Shang-Chi outfit marks the most recent crossover between Epic Games and Marvel and suggests the partnership between the two huge companies is still solid. With the upcoming movieSpider-Man: No Way Homecoming to theaters on December 17, it seems likely that more skins from the superhero franchise are on the way.
