Summary

After four long years of waiting, it seems thatFortniteplayers in the European Union will soon be able to enjoy the game across all Apple mobile devices.Fortnite’s Battle Royale game mode was released in September 2017, and not too long after, it became available on mobile devices. To promoteFortnite’s mobile version, Epic Games and Samsung joined forces in 2018 and gave away the Galaxy skin for anyone who played the game on a Samsung Galaxy Note 9 or a Samsung Galaxy Tab S4. Many players ended up downloadingFortniteon their mobile devices, not only for practical reasons but also so they could check out the Item Shop or the Quests tab while away from their other devices.

Unfortunately,Fortnitewas removed from the App Storeon all Apple devices in 2020. The company was not happy with Epic Games trying to bypass its in-game currency guidelines and removed it entirely. Many players were taken aback when this happened, especially since a large portion of mobile fans had lost their only way to access the game and were forced to stop playing it entirely.

Most of the community had completely lost hope ofFortnitereturning to the App Store in the future, especially afterApple terminated Epic Games’s developer accountin March 2024. However, on April 29, Epic Games posted an update on the situation and revealed thatFortnitewill be returning to iPhone devices in the European Union “pretty soon” as well as iPads “later this year.” This is thanks to a Digital Markets Act law that is making it possible for Epic to grant fans access toFortnitevia the Epic Games Store on Apple devices.

Soon enough, gamers who had to give upFortnitewill be able to return and explore a completely different map. Hopefully, Apple players will still experience some ofChapter 5’s best-named locations, as according to leaks, the next chapter will only be available by the end of the year.

Regions that Will Support Fortnite on Apple Mobile Devices
