Epic Games usually releasesFortnitecontent updates on Tuesday, but this week it was different, as it seems an anticipated Creative mode feature will be added to the game very soon. On March 10,Fortnitefans welcomed a new futuristic era of the game with the start of Chapter 4 Season 2. Most players were excited by what they saw, especially thenewFortniteBattle Pass, but since then it seems that things have quieted down a fair bit.Tuesday, March 21 was the expected date for the first proper update of Chapter 4 Season, but this was quickly proven to be untrue with a tweet from Epic Games that announced it would instead be released on Monday, and the servers would be down for a while, meaning players could most likely look forward to an update with a decent amount of content. It will be published Wednesday, March 22, around 12 PM ET, and those that have already downloaded this new patch now have everything ready for its release.
Rumors hint that this revamped Creative mode will be a game-changer for all community creators, particularly because they will no longer depend on the Support-a-Creator program in order to be compensated for their creations; according to leaked information, payments will be issued based on player engagement with newFortniteCreative mode gamesand maps.
Officially, Epic Games has not said much about this update and only mentioned that it has solved split-screen and FPS issues on the Xbox Series S console. No patch notes have been shared, and there is still little information regarding the release of the Unreal Editor forFortniteprogram, but surely it will add more replay value toFortniteoutside of its popular battle royale mode and the currentFortniteCreative mode maps.
