AFortniteplayer has used the hurdling mechanic and taken it to the next level by jumping over a rocket.Fortniteis a rather complex Battle Royale game; there are lots of different game modes to play, and tons of mechanics to learn. Once gamers learn everything there is to know about the game, they can master it and improve their skills to then attempt to get impressive clips.

Fortniteis a game that’s constantly receiving updates to keep it fresh. Every time a new item or mechanic is added to the game players test it out as much as they can to see if there are any hidden game-changing features that it might bring to the table. Not too long ago, this is exactly what happened withthe Shockwave Hammer and the infinite bouncing glitch, however, it resulted in it being removed from the game temporarily.

Recently, a member of the RedditFortnitecommunity found that it was possible to hurdle over a rocket after they were shot at with a Rocket Launcher. The player kept sprinting toward the rocket which resulted in them automatically hurdling over it. The hurdling feature is part of the game’s parkour mechanic; it made it so players would hurdle over small obstacles if they sprinted toward them without the need to press the jump button. It was removed due to sensitivity issues andbrought back with the latest maintenance update, presumably fixed.

From hiding in bushes to making snowballs, there are still tons ofhidden mechanics inFortnitethat many players may not know about. Rocket riding was popular a while back and many streamers would play around with this mechanic. It wasn’t an intentional game feature but since rockets are technically physical objects, players can get on them and ride them; this works without damaging the player as long as a teammate shoots the rocket.

It is possible that hurdling might be removed from the game once again. Rocket riding took some level of skill to get right so Rocket Launchers remained viable, but hurdling happens automatically and as long as the player keeps sprinting they won’t be damaged by the rocket. The reason why this hadn’t come to light yet is due to the fact that the Snowball Launcher replaced the Rocket Launcher during the Winterfest event. The Snowball Launcher has now been vaulted again and replaced with the Rocket Launcher which can be obtained fromScrapknight Jules, the NPC at Fishsticks' Boat Race. However, while this issue is still in the game it might not be the best weapon to carry to fill an inventory space.

Fortniteis available for Mac, Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
