Geralt of Rivia has at last been made available as part of thisFortniteseason’s Battle Pass. ThisFortniteseason has been particularly exciting for fans of theDoomandThe Witcherfranchises; as soon as the Battle Pass trailer was released, it was revealed thatcharacters from both of these games would be coming toFortniteas part of the Gaming Legends series.

Doom Slayer and Geralt of Rivia have joined theFortniteChapter 4 Season 1 Battle Pass, which means that anyone that bought it for 950 V-Bucks will gain access to these skins as long as they meet certain requirements of the pass. Doom Slayer was available right from the start, and he could be unlocked once the player reaches level 26 and completes page six of the Battle Pass. Geralt of Rivia, on the other hand, was on a separate Battle Pass tab, and fans had no idea when or how they would be able to obtain hisFortniteskin.

Last week, it was finally revealed thatGeralt of Rivia would be added in the next update. TheFortnitecommunity speculated that, just like in most cases with skins that are released later on in Battle Pass, players would have completed some quests to unlock the skin and its set. The update this Tuesday made Geralt’s Battle Pass page available and added his quests to the game. Gamers interested in unlocking Geralt of Rivia inFortnitewill have to complete a total of five quests.

Each time gamers complete one of the quests, they’ll receive a cosmetic item connected to Geralt of Rivia, and once they complete all five, the Geralt skin will be unlocked and added to the player’s inventory as soon as they leave the match they’re in and return to the lobby. Some quests can be completed naturally as the player plays a few battle royale matches, but some of them are slightly more complicated, and they’ll have to make a serious effort to get through them. For example, players will have todefeat the Ageless Champion bossat the Citadel to finish one of the quests.

There is still an unrevealed page of cosmetic items that will only be accessible in three weeks and contain an alternative style for the Geralt skin. It may sound like a bummer now to have to wait three extra weeks to gain moreFortniteitems, but this makes it so there’s more to unlock as the season goes on, and players won’t have to sit through a dry spell for too long.

Fortniteis available on mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S.
