Following the game’s release on August 7,Horizon Zero Dawn’sPC release was reportedly causing a lot of trouble for users, withGuerrilla Games' port resulting in frequent crashes and lagging issuesfor a sizable section of its player base. Luckily, the studio was quick to address the growing technical issues that surrounded the game, with Guerrilla sharing on Steam that it was investigating these issues and would hopefully have a fix available in the near future.

It appears the company has been rigidly sticking to its vocal approach with fans, taking to Twitter to share a brand new update on the various fixes and patches coming toHorizon: Zero Dawnon PC. Although no firm release date was given by the company - much to the disappointment of fans on Twitter - it seems a lot of work is going into making sure Steam users can experienceHorizonas it was intended very soon.

“We’re still working hard to address the issues with Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition for PC that have affected some of you since launch,” Guerilla claims. “We’ll update you as soon as we can share more information - thanks again for your continued patience and understanding!” Evidently, the team is hard at work on the patch, which is great news for those finally getting their hands on the widely acclaimedPlayStation 4classic on PC.

For those unaware of the issues currently plaguingHorizonZero Dawn’sPC port, it appears many users can hardly play the game due to crashes occurring during gameplay and cutscenes. One user in the comments of the Twitter post reported that the game crashed every “5-10” minutes and is practically “unplayable,” while another shared that they had “13 crashes in 12 hours of play,” although was quick to remark that “it’s a beautiful as hell game.” With this being Guerrilla’s first attempt at porting a game to PC, there’s naturally going to be setbacks, but the fact it is as committed to fixing it as they are shows that fans likely have little to worry about in the long run.

In the meantime, Guerrilla is also working on a sequel to the game titledHorizon: Forbidden Westthat will ship on the PlayStation 5. The game appears to be much broader than its prequel, and feature new creatures to battle, areas to explore, and a continuation of the narrative which began inZero Dawn.Hopefully, it’ll debut to the same universal acclaim its beloved predecessor did when it launched back in early 2017.
