That means episode 11 will be the second-to-last episode fromGundam: The Witch From Mercury. Based on that fact and from what has transpired in the previous episodes, we can expect to see something epic in this episode. Or at the very least, a build up to something amazing that will likely happen in episode 12. With that in mind, let’s see what the 11 episode ofGundam: The Witch from Mercuryhas to offer.

The Witches From Earth

In the last episode, we saw Suletta feeling down because she thought that Miorine no longer needs her and only uses her as a shield so thatshe won’t have to deal with any possible suitor. In this episode, Suletta feels even worse than before. She tries so hard to be useful to everyone, but the more she does it, the lonelier she feels. She even began to think that nobody actually wants to be friends with her.

After a misunderstanding regarding a lunch box, Suletta decided to lock herself in a bathroom. She calls her mother and shares her sadness and problems. What she doesn’t know, however, is the fact that Miorine is actually listening through the other side of the door. So she confronts Suletta about what she just heard. It took a while, but they finally resolved the misunderstanding, and it seems like Suletta finally regains her spirit back.

Gundam Witch From Mercury E11 New Gundam Lfrith Earth

While this drama is going on between the witch and the princess, the mercenaries called Dawn of Fold from earth have successfully infiltrated Plant Quetta. After getting the green light from Shaddiq, the Dawn of Fold deployed their two Gundams. They jam the communications, and shoot laser beams that separate Block C, which is where Delling Rembran is located, from the rest of the base. And now, the clock is ticking for everyone inside Plant Quetta, including Suletta Mercuryand Miorine Rembran.

The Witches Strike Again

This episode is the second time that we see the new Gundams from Earth in action. It goes without saying that they perform way better than regular mobile suits. However, there are several key things that we learn about them this time around.

First is the fact that both Gundams seem to be a derivative of the originalGundam Lfrith that we saw in the Prologue episode. There’s no explanation about what happened to Lfrith after Elnora Samaya and her daughter, Ericht Samaya, managed to use it to escape from their pursuer. However, now that Elnora returns as the masked woman called Lady Prospera, and Ericht seems to use the name of Suletta Mercury, it is safe to say that Gundam Aerial is the improved and modified version of Lfrith. Which begs the question: why do the Gundams from Earth bear the name of Lfrith?

Gundam Witch From Mercury E11 Suletta on Scope

The second most notable thing is the fact that we don’t know anything yet about how the two girls from Earth manage to pilot the Gundam so effortlessly. Are they alsoan enhanced human like Elen Ceres? Last but not least is the fact that we haven’t seen the signature weapon that every Gundams should have, which is the Gund-Bits. If the two Gundams from Earth are truly a Gundam, then they should also have this swarm weapon system installed, just like Aerial and Pharact.

As mentioned in the opening paragraph above, the first part ofGundam: The Witch From Mercurywill be concluded with the upcoming 12th episode. As such, it’s only natural for episode 11 to be the set-up for some sort of climax that might happen in episode 12.

Furthermore, we also seem to head towards the end of the first chapter of the story. After all, with the introduction of the new supposedly evil Gundams, a full commitment onassassination and betrayals, and the formation of new company, it’s clear that we’re about to leave the carefree and wholesome slice-of-life part of the story, and possibly head into a much more mature and complicated aspect of the series.

Those kinds of things are pretty much what the fans of this franchise have been asking for. Don’t get me wrong, it’s quite interesting to seeSuletta’s day-to-day life at her space academy, but massive space opera and political intrigue are what we all love and expect from a major Gundam series. So now that we are on the road to the climax of the first part of the story, which will likely open up the path to a much darker and thrillingGundam: The Witch From Mercury, the hype for episode 12 couldn’t be higher.

Episode 11 is a respectable lead-in to what we can safely assume to be a climatic event that will happen in episode 12. After all, the first chapter ofGundam: The Witch From Mercuryis about to be concluded, and judging by everything that has happened thus far, we can expect a much darker tone in the second part of the story. Episode 12 is scheduled to bereleased in January 2023, which is a shame, because the hype is through the roof right now.
