At the Xbox x IGN Japan fan meet-up this past TGS 2023, a fan asked Spencer and Corporate Vice President ofXboxSarah Bond to sign a PS5 cover they had brought along with them. A picture of this moment was captured by gangsuit on Twitter and shared on the platform by Genki_JPN. The photo shows the PS5 cover signed with Spencer holding it up while smiling.

Much like Genki’s caption of “Phil Spencer was like ‘Is it okay to sign this?'", the replies also found humor in the situation. Some even referred to it as being theend of the console wars. Genki’s tweet has been making its rounds on the platform and being viewed by many, including former PlayStation boss Shawn Layden, who responded with aGod of WarGIF showing Kratos nod in agreement.

Phil Spencer is known to be a good sport in terms of theconsole wars with Xbox and Playstation. The head of Xbox has even given a few interviews at Gamescom 2023 where he explained that Xbox’s success isn’t determined by how many consoles are sold, but by how many people are playing on the Xbox ecosystem.
