Hogwarts Legacytakes place approximately one hundred years before the events ofHarry Potter, but the wizarding world doesn’t appear to have changed too much in the time between. Most of the areas the player gets to explore seem to be accurate reimaginings of locations fans have come to know and love, and this is also the case for the creatures and entities that reside in them.

While playing throughHogwarts Legacy, players will encounter a variety of familiar magical creatures. Upon unlockingthe Room of Requirement, they will then be given the chance to capture some of these beasts and nurture them in Hogwarts. However, some creatures, like the Grim, cannot be captured and can only be faced in combat.
Finding Infamous Foes
While exploring the vast world outsideHogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, players will likely encounter several mini-bosses known as Infamous Foes. Most of these enemies can be found by exploring the Highlands and infiltrating certain enemy encampments, but some can only be found while completing side quests or exploring dungeons.
Players will know they have encountered an Infamous Foe by the skull marker on the map. One marker will allude to the general area an Infamous Foe can be found, while the other will highlight the exact location of said foe. Most of these Infamous Foes tend to have backup, so the player should prepare themselves before initiating the fight.

The player will need to find and face twelve of these Infamous foes if they wish to obtain100% completion for the Challenges. One such Infamous Foe, the Grim, fights alongside the White Wolf, an equally dangerous foe that can easily overpower the protagonist if not dealt with quickly.
The Grim Location
The Grim is a mongrel-type beast that can be found occupyinga cave southwest of Hogwarts. From theKeenbridge Floo Flame, the player shouldproceed west into the forestuntil they can’t travel any further.Casting Revelio while on a broomwill reveal the exact location of the Grim and its companion if the player can’t find it, so all the player needs to do is fly toward the two skull makers until they reach the entrance to a cave.
Before entering and facing this beast, the player should equipConfringo or Incendioto their spell diamond, as entering will prompt Inferi to spawn.
Upon enteringthe hidden cave, the player will be forced to facethe Grim,a White Wolf, anda collection of Inferi. The best way to begin this battle is to deal with the Inferi first, as they can easily overpower the protagonist thanks to their numbers. Once the undead have been dealt with, the player should focus their attacks on one of the two mongrels.
Defeating The Grim And The White Wolf
These beasts have a habit of lunging at the protagonist quite frequently, so the player should be prepared tododge or parryat all times. Aside from this lunge attack, the Grim and the White Wolf have very few notable attacks; they fight just like their mongrel counterparts.
Once they have both been bested, the player will receive two new entries in their bestiary, not to mention bragging rights for surviving the encounter.
Hogwarts Legacyis available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. PS4 and Xbox One versions will release on April 4 and a Switch version will release on July 25.
