The player named skion states that they were just trying to find secret treasure chests on the planet when they came across this Easter egg, as it looks like they got startled in the middle of the night. As seen in the shared screenshots, theTrailblazer inHonkai: Star Railappears to be standing in an empty hallway, before encountering a pair of identical twins similar toThe Shining.
According to Dexerto, this Easter egg inHonkai: Star Railgoes into great detail, as the lead-up to the scene includes references from the movie and the book. While it doesn’t appear to be that scary on the surface, as the original scenes featured a massive amount of blood, it probably was enough to startle fans of the source material and bring back memories from when they watched the movie. It’ll be interesting to see ifHonkai: Star Railfeatures any more hidden references like this as players spend more time with the game.
Honkai: Star Railfans should note that the current banner featuring the 5-star character Seele ends in a few days, with the next banner starting on May 17. It will feature a 5-star character named Jing Yuan, with lightning being the main element for this unit. As always, these events will last for 21 days, with Jing Yuan’s banner ending on June 7.Honkai: Star Railreported extremely impressive sales for Seele’s banner, so it’ll be interesting to see if Jing Yuan can match, or even surpass it in revenue when his banner drops later this month.
