Summary

Kingdom Hearts 4is set to be the fourth mainline entry in the long-running franchise from Square Enix. The crossover betweenFinal Fantasyand Disney properties has brought one of the most unique series of games to life, andKingdom Hearts 4will likely dive even deeper into iconic Disney worlds and characters.

A crossover that feels inevitable at this point is aStar Warsworld being added inKingdom Hearts 4. Since the game was announced, there have been a variety of different theories brought to the surface, and the theories ofKingdom Hearts 4featuringStar Warsseem to be the most likely at this point. IfStars Warsdoes indeed get its moment in the world ofKingdom Hearts, then this would also open up the door for another Disney-owned property, except this time with a Marvel team; the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Star Wars Paves the Way for Guardians of the Galaxy in Kingdom Hearts 4

The addition ofStar WarstoKingdom Hearts 4would lay the groundwork for Sora and friends to easily run into the titularGuardians fromGuardians of the Galaxy. IfKingdom Hearts 4featuresStar Wars, there will likely be plenty of flying mechanics added to the gameplay. AStar Warscrossover wouldn’t feel complete without a TIE fighter or even pod racing, and going from this toGuardians of the Galaxywould be a smooth progression.

Taking Full Advantage of Space

AStar Warsworld could take inspiration from a variety of different locations in the franchise. From Tatooine to Naboo,Kingdom Hearts 4could have itsStar Warsland based on a diverse collection of planets. However, there is also the possibility ofthe game’sStar Warsleveltaking place in space, hopefully on the Death Star. If this is the direction Square Enix chooses to go with aStar Warsworld, not only is there not an excuse to feature the Guardians of the Galaxy, it could also become a fun crossover in and of itself.

Floating through space on the Death Star and suddenly running into Star-Lord and Rocket Raccoon as their ship passes by could be a great way to experiment with new mechanics to the fullest extent. Having to team up with the Guardians in order to destroy the Death Star could make way for some incredible flight combat against the onslaughts of TIE fighters.Kingdom Hearts 4has the chance to redeem itselfdue to missed opportunities in the past game, and bringing a variety of Disney-owned characters into one world could offer some thrilling moments.

Kingdom Hearts 4 Taking Things to the Next Level

There is a lot of expectation riding onKingdom Hearts 4’s shoulders, and if the next game really wants to take things to the next level, then it needs to get bold with how it builds its various worlds.Kingdom Hearts 4needs to be carefulwith how it handles worlds based on newer Disney properties. TheFrozenworld inKingdom Hearts 3left many disappointed, andStar Warsbrings even more pressure for greatness.

As the wait continues, new announcements forKingdom Heartsare beginning to arrive, meaning that hopefully a release date forKingdom Hearts 4will be given soon. With the franchise now set to release on Steam as well, it’s clear that Square Enix is wanting to go bigger with the upcoming title, and bringingStar WarsandGuardians of the Galaxytogether would definitely be a major point of excitement.
