Neighbor Metaverse Studios has released a new trailer to announce the release of content forFortnite’s Creative Mode inspired byJunji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales Of The Macabre.Junji Ito is a master of horrorthat needs no introduction to most anime and manga fans. In this creation, players will be taken through five custom maps bringing together some of the main creatures from the Netflix anime, including the macabre giant balloon heads.

For audiences who haven’t watched it yet,Junji Ito Maniac: Japanese Tales Of The Macabreis now available on Netflix. Released last month, the 12-episode anime features a selection of disturbing, bizarre, and terrifying stories. While Junji Ito’s new anime may be a bit divisive, the Netflix production brings a bit of the horror master to a wider audience. With the release of the anime, now the expectation is left for thenext adaptations afterJunji Ito Maniacthat may happen.

While the Junji Ito content added toFortniteis not official, it is nonetheless interesting. Junji Ito’s work is quite graphic and impactful, but Neighbor Metaverse Studios has successfully captured the idea in theFortnitestyle. Interestingly enough, the custom maps act as a form of advertising for the anime and make the player imagine what it would be like if the idea had come from Epic Games.
