It’s officially been one year since the premiere ofWandaVisionon Disney Plus. Since its debut, the memorable Marvel series has earned multiple awards and nominations, including 3 Primetime Emmys. To celebrate its anniversary and accomplishments, Kat Dennings shared a behind-the-scenes photo of one of her most memorable days on set.
WandaVisionis not Dennings' first appearance in an MCU project, as she has previously appeared in theThorfilms alongside Natalie Portmanand Stellan Skarsgård. As Darcy Lewis, Dennings has often been used for comedic relief, and in a sitcom-inspired series likeWandaVision, she fits right in, even when the camera isn’t rolling.

In honor ofWandaVision’s one-year anniversary, Dennings took to social media to celebrate the milestone. Dennings shared a particularly memorable photograph from her time onWandaVision, where she isseen in part of Darcy Lewis' costumeworn in the seventh episode, “Breaking the Fourth Wall.” The leg of her Spanx has a notable tear in them, and Dennings couldn’t resist sharing the moment withWandaVisionfans. She captioned the photo: “It’s the 1-year anniversary of @wandavision so here is me breaking my spanx on my first day in the circus outfit.”
The “circus outfit” refers tothe end ofWandaVision’s sixth episode, “All-New Halloween Spectacular,” when Vision began to learn the truth about Westview. As he attempted to cross through the Hex, he began to disintegrate and his pain was felt by his son, Billy, who reported the near tragedy to his mother. Wanda took control of the situation by moving the barrier of the Hex through the S.W.O.R.D camp stationed outside the Hex, enveloping them into Westview. Those who were engulfed by the Hex included Darcy, who had been handcuffed to one of the S.W.O.R.D vehicles after she sought help for Vision.
The results of the new Hex barrier were seen in “Breaking the Fourth Wall,” where Vision discovers Darcy with chains around her body. Under the spell of Wanda,Darcy informs Vision that she is an escape artist, which proves to be fitting for her character within Wanda’s Westview after Vision frees Darcy of the hold Wanda has over her. The two embark on a journey back to Wanda and Vision’s home but find themselves thwarted by a comedic roadblock every step of the way. Darcy and Vision’s adventures help to revitalize Darcy within the MCU after not being seen sinceThor: The Dark Worldin 2013.
With Westview’s Vision now dead,the other Vision off the grid, and Wanda isolating herself from humanity, it’s impossible to know when Darcy may appear in the MCU again. Given the relationship she built with Monica and Jimmy, it’s possible that she will be spotted alongside them. Monica might be seen in the upcoming Disney Plus seriesMs. Marvelprior to her role inThe Marvels, and Darcy may join her. If not, Darcy will likely appear wherever a scientific genius with impeccable comedic timing is needed.
