Nintendo has found incredible success with its crossover fighting gameSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate, and so it’s no surprise that other companies have attempted to follow suit. Sony took a swing at the idea back in the day withPlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and more recently, there was theNickelodeon All-Star Brawlfighting game. Now Warner Bros. is getting in on the action with the ambitiousMultiVersus, which consists of one of the wildest rosters yet.
TheMultiVersusroster features a wide range of characters from Warner Bros. franchises that are either outright owned or licensed by the company. This ranges from characters like Arya Stark fromGame of Thronesto cartoon icon Bugs Bunny and even DC comics superheroes like Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. There’s even an original character invented forMultiVersusin the form of Reindog, so fans have a lot of variety to look forward to.

When Warner Bros. officially revealed theMultiVersusroster and announced the game, it confirmed many leaks about the project. In fact, leaks predicted nearly every single character that was confirmed for theMultiVersusroster, though those same leaks made some claims about characters who ultimately aren’t part of the lineup. It’s possible these otherleakedMultiVersuscharacterswill be revealed for the game later or are being planned as post-launch additions, so fans will have to wait and see on that front.
In the meantime, here are the leakedMultiVersuscharacters who have yet to be officially announced for the game.

MultiVersus Leaked Characters
There are four characters mentioned in the pre-revealMultiVersusleaks that have not been confirmed for the fighting game yet. These are Gandalf ofLord of the Ringsfame, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley from theWizarding Worlduniverse, and Rick and Morty from the popular adult cartoon of the same name.
Out of these, Gandalf seems like the most likely to make it to theMultiVersusroster at some point, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see Rick and Morty make the cut either. After all, Rick and Morty is one of the most popular adult animated shows on TV right now, and the characters would no doubt make popular additions to the roster. Not only that, but Rick and Morty have already made crossover video game appearances, withRick popping up in Epic Games’FortniteBattle Royale.

If Rick and Morty do come toMultiVersus, one has to wonder if they will be separate characters or a tag team. Most of theMultiVersuscharacters have their own individual spots on the roster, butTom and Jerrytake up a single slot together. It’s possible Rick and Morty will be similar, but the characters are distinct enough that Warner Bros. may want to have them stand on their own. That’s assuming they even come toMultiVersusat all, of course.
The two leakedMultiVersuscharacters that stand the least amount of chance of being added to the roster have to be Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. After all, the person who initially leaked theMultiVersusrostersaid that it was possible that their source was just joking about Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. However, that doesn’t mean that Warner Bros. wouldn’t want to secure the characters for theMultiVersusroster if it had the capabilities to do so.
Harry Potteris one of the most popular fictional characters ever conceived, and his addition to theMultiVersusroster would be huge. It would potentially draw inWizarding Worldfans who wouldn’t have bothered withMultiVersusotherwise. Fans shouldn’t hold their breath for Harry Potter or any otherWizarding Worldcharacters to make their way toMultiVersus, but it’s still a possibility since Warner Bros. has the license to make video games based on theHarry Potterfranchise.
Like with any leaks, fans should take all of this with a grain of salt. It’s possible that none of these leaked characters will ever actually make it to theMultiVersusroster, so the only ones that fans can count on are the characters that are confirmed by Warner Bros.
MultiVersus Confirmed Roster of Characters So Far
As it stands, there’s a decent variety of characters that have already been revealed by Warner Bros. It’s possible that this lineup constitutes theMultiVersuslaunch roster, but it’s also possible that there are more character reveals set to take place between now and when the game comes out in 2022. All anyone looking forward toMultiVersuscan do for the time being is speculate about what future roster additions may have in store.
Hopefully Warner Bros. has more to share about the game sooner rather than later so fans can find out if there’s any truth to the leakedMultiVersuscharacters.
MultiVersuslaunches in 2022 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
